Chapter XXXVII: Swiss Thrust

~*~*~*~*~*~*~

"How'd you slept?" Kane asked me.

"Missing you, how else?" I shrugged sadly. "I didn't slept much."

"Same, baby," he sighed, kissing my head, "same." I tightened my legs around his waist, my arms around his neck. He took us to class, holding me up with an arm. "Soon enough we won't need to be separated, alright?" He kisses my shoulder, and then my neck, and I dipped my head to kiss him. It wasn't a long kiss, but it was a passionate one, knowing very well how easy it is to lead a kiss into something else.

"Dragon."

I undid my legs from Kane and fell to my feet. "Yes?" I turned, facing Arturo, and Aaliyah.

"Firstly," he begins, "there was no room sweep last night." I nodded. "Though still, the rooms were left unlocked. They're trying to tempt us, to come out, I don't know, but I don't think this specific room sweep will lead to anything lesser than a punishment."

I listened to him as we walked furthest to the back of the classroom, away from the door. "I don't care if there's a trick or no trick to it, Arturo," I whispered. "No one, okay? No one breaks curfew."

He nodded. "Kane told me, about your command to Specialty X."

I took a deep breath, nodding. "I know I'm asking you to risk your life-"

I'm asking Specialty X to kill.

"We're all in."

I looked at him right into his brown eyes. "Aaliyah, Andre and I are a hundred percent into this." I touched the base of my throat, it's not everyday people put their lives in your hands, or take lives for you. "I just want you to make sure Aaliyah makes it out there. She's quite the dreamer, you know?"

I nod, "I'm quite the dreamer too," I softly whispered. "Don't worry, Aaliyah is going to see the stars past midnight." For the first time, I saw Arturo smile. And he smiled with that vision I just provided him. That made him happy, to know Aaliyah would be out there seeing the sky past our curfew hours.

"And you too," I whispered.

He looked at me with tender eyes. I took his hand, gave it a light squeeze and let it go. He pursed his lips, trying to contain the smile. "Oh, something else."

"Go ahead," I smiled.

"Alexandra, nobody's seen her today."

I took a deep breath, sighing in stress. She won't ruin my plans that's definite. I won't let her be the reason Irina won't ever see a playground, or get nauseous in a roller coaster, or have her first date, or her first break up, or go to college. Alexandra is starting to become an obstacle, and it hurts my soul to see her as that, an obstacle, but then again, I can become heartless and cruel when it comes to my goddaughter's future.

"Arturo, try to find her," I whispered, putting a hand over his shoulder. "But don't risk yourself. Look for her, if you think you run danger come back to schedule."

I don't care by now if she gets in trouble. She's starting to irritate me, give me a headache, delay my plans. However I'm doing this so no one would ever have to step in the Chaining Room, it's hypocritical of me if I let her get caught. She's fucking up my plans. No one, no one, can get into the Chaining Room. Dr. Petrov must be kept away from the Chaining Room, or else he'd notice the missing weaponry.

If he does, we're all as good as dead.

"What's wrong?" Alice asks me. She stands up from the teacher's desk and runs a hand over her blonde hair.
