Itha’s POV
It’s been one week since that incident. I gave a statement that my ex tried to harass me, and now he’s rotting in jail. Everything has gone back to normal but the past I tried to escape sooner or later came back.
Knock knock!
I came back to reality as I heard the knocking sound.
When I turned, I saw Bella holding two cups of coffee.
“Good morning, Bellssssss.” I said
“Morninnggggg baeee” Bella said, hugging me not so gently, as always.
“Godddd, you know I don’t wanna die of suffocation,” I teased.
“Shut up, no one dies from hugging,” she pouted. And then smiled softly before continuing
“But on a serious note… are you okay?” Here comes serious Bella not even a hint of teasing in her face.
“Yes.”
That’s all I could say. Because to be honest even I have no idea if I’m okay. I know my ex-boyfriend’s words shouldn’t matter to me, but words do hurt. If someone jokes about our body, the way we dress, where we come from, or how we speak it leaves a mark. No matter how much we deny it, the scar stays. As bold and strong I am, anyone can become weak when someone keeps pointing out our flaws.
“Itha, don’t worry, we’ve got this. I’m not here to tell you to forget that incident, but I really want you to move on. That will be good for you. Focus, Itha. Don’t forget why you came here. You have a lot to do. You’ve got this.”
Bella’s words hit me, and I realized one thing the past can’t be changed. All I have is now. It’s Now or Never.
“You’re right. I’m trying. Don’t worry about me, I’ll be alright. Now get up and get ready for work, and let me get ready too. I don’t want to be late.” I said
“You’re right. Let’s get ready.”she Said taking a coffee mug from my hand and went to get ready

After an hour-At Williams Corporation
“Itha?”
I turned and saw Naksh behind me. We gave each other a friendly hug.
“Nakshhh!”
“You look tired. You okay?”
“Yes, just didn’t get proper sleep last night.” I said
“You should take a day off and rest.” worry latched on his face
“I don’t think that’s a good idea. I’m just an intern, and with results coming in two weeks, plus pending work…”
"Yeah, that’s true." He said and hesitated before speaking "Anyway, are you free this evening?"
“Hmm… yes, I guess. Why?” I asked him
“I wanna tell you something.”
“Okay, let’s meet after office hours.” I said
“Alright. Have a nice day.”
“You too,” I said, heading to my cabin.
It’s been a week, but Reyansh hasn’t once asked me what happened between me and my ex. His care hasn’t changed. Every time I go to his cabin thinking, I’ll tell him today, I somehow can’t.

For example — 3 days ago
Knock knock!
“Yes, come in.”
My heart started pounding not from love, but from anxiety about telling him.
One step closer, and my black eyes met his brown ones. Even now, my heart whispered "I am his. I want him to stay" even after I tell him my past.
“Reyanshhh…”
“Yes, little kitten? Do you want something?” he asked, standing up from his place.
“Umm… actually…” I stopped. I had told Bella and Tina before, but telling him felt impossible. Maybe I was afraid he’d see me differently? No… I’m a hundred percent sure he wouldn’t. I realized that on the day of the incident when my ex talked about me.
“Reyansh, I… actually just had a doubt about this document. I checked it, but I think there are some errors. Can you please review it?” I lied smoothly.
“Uh… yeah, sure.”
Though he didn’t seem satisfied with my answer, he didn’t push me.

Present
“Oh hello, madammm. Where are you lost?” Tina asked sitting next to me.
“I’m worried. How will I tell Reyansh about my past?”
“Listen, Itha. We both know how he reacted that day. Trust me no one can understand you better than Reyansh sir. Maybe everyone else might stand against you, but not him. He’ll stand beside you whether you’re right or wrong. You know why?”
“Why?” i asked curiously
“Because Reyansh sir doesn’t just love your confident, bubbly, cheerful side, he loves your flaws too. He may not have said out loud that he loves you, but his actions say more. So stop worrying. After you tell him, he’ll still be the same Reyansh.”
She squeezed my hand and went back to work.
Tina was right. I’m sure Reyansh won’t leave me. There was a time I had no one except Shivi and Dhruv but now I have Bella, Tina, and most importantly, Reyansh. MY SAVIOUR.
The day I met my saviour, everything changed. He never promised to stay, but I know he will. A man of few words but lately, he’s trying to be more expressive with me, and it’s kind of cute. Hehe.
I decided I will tell him everything. About the nightmares. About my family.
With that thought, I walked to his cabin. I opened the door slowly. His back faced me as he stood by the window, phone in hand. Chicago’s skyline stretched beyond the glass not the whole city but enough. At night, the view from his cabin is breathtaking.
“Kiara, take care of yourself, baby. Don’t trouble Grandma too much, okay?”
I froze.
Who is Kiara?Grandma?What the hell is happening?
I am really sorry for updating late.
I know I am being inconsistent from past few months.
I will try to reach your expectations please be patience.
