Chapter - 109

It was late morning after breakfast. Vikram and Shivani were settled in dining area having their coffee.The function was two weeks ago and it felt a dead silence in house now.With Lata Reyaansh and Nandini leaving a week ago.Pranush and Aarav kept house lively.Shivani thought how it will be same again after Vivan and Varna's babys arrival.

Vik-"The house feels empty now."

Sh-"Yeah.Theres silence which I cant bear.Pranu is with me nowdays.Though Varna keeps saying me to rest.I cant be without Pranu now.Dont know how day passes with him around."

Vik-"Hmm.Varna's health is our priority now.Dont forget to take care of her."

Just then they saw Varna walking slowly.Stole wrapped around her as she took small steps.She gave smile to both Vikram and Shivani.

Sh-"Varna.We were talking about you only.Come have some juice."

Var-"I dont feel like having anything now.Can I go out for some time and sit there."

Vikram and Shivani exchanged look.They found Varna little low today unlike other days.Shivani touched her cheek.

Sh-"Is everything alright Varna?You can tell me."

Var-"Yes Im fine.Just feeling suffocated inside room."

Vik-"You come with me.Shivani send me another cup of coffee.Varna we will have discussion today on this new book Im reading."

Vikram and Varna went outside in garden area.Shivani smiled but thought of something.

Vivaan was working on his laptop.Shivani entered room and found her son deeply engrossed in his work.She kept mug of coffee on table which took his attention.His expression sobered.

V-"Mom.When did you come."

Sh-"When you were too busy to notice anything around you."

She touched his head affectionately as he sipped coffee.Felt relaxed.

V-"Thanks Mom.badly needed this.Headache."

Sh-"Working from home again today.Vivaan all okay?"

V-"Yeah.Why are you asking."

Shivani took Pranush's toys from bed and kept them aside neatly.

Sh-"Varna is with your Dad outside.She seemed upset to me.Did you tell her anything."

He knew what was wrong but silently had his coffee.This was enough for Shivani to get it.She just took seat there and waited for him to say it.Vivaan shut his eyes and kept mug back on table.He wasnt meeting her eyes.

V-"I didnt do anything Mom.Its just work pressure I dont know how to handle and.Varna has become stubborn from few days.Dont want to listen to anything.Whatever I say she just reacts to it.What should I do in such situation.She wants me to go to office.How can I leaving her alone.Every time I think of going away that.That day just keeps coming in front of my eyes Mom.I cant."

Shivani felt pain in her heart seeing her son like this.She knew well Vivaan's insecurities regarding Varna and where these were coming from.Losing Ramya and then Varna's accident inside house these were all trauma for him.He couldnt recover from this.Vivaan couldnt stop himself from hugging his mother.It was mental breakdown for him too.Thinking about so many things together and the anxiety.It happens to all.Shivani smiled faintly and shut her eyes.

Sh-"Look at me.My son is strong and I know that.Vivaan.She is going through a very delicate phase.I understand your insecurities and what your saying.But at this moment she needs you by her side as a positive support.She needs our positivity not worries or stress.I know shes showing us shes fine normal but shes not.What she has been through it will have affect on her and shes been trying to keep that to herself.If you lose your patience on her now then how will she cope up with this.Hmm.And dont you trust your parents?We are here for Varna.I promise you I wont leave her alone.Im here.You have an important meeting today your Dad was saying."

V-"You sure Mom.I mean.I dont know I feel."

Sh-"Its just about one day Vivaan.I will manage and Varna also wants you to concentrate on your work.Which is important too.Go get ready and stop worrying."

She kissed his head and left giving him stern look.But he wasnt convinced from inside.He knew Shivani will be there for Varna.Still something from inside was making him uneasy.

Varna couldnt stop herself from laughing.Holding her baby bump with one hand which was hidden with stole.Other hand securing Pranush seated with her in swing.He was busy coloring and laughed not getting anything but just seeing his mother enjoying the moment.

Vikrams college life stories and then after wedding funny moments between him and Shivani were enough to lighten moment for her.Both were busy in laughing when Shivani and Vivaan came out.Vivaan was relieved finally seeing his wife laughing and how beautiful she looked.He was dressed for office and Varna noticed that.Laugh slowly faded from her face but she was lightly smiling.his eyes were at her as he cooed Pranushs cheeks placing kiss there.

Shivani got fruits for Varna and both her and Vikram left from there giving them privacy.Varna didnt say anything munching on fruits with fork.Vivaan stood there scratching his head.

V-"Im.Going to office.Have an urgent meeting so.Varna.Please.You know I cant be like this.Okay Im sorry for losing my temper.Say something."

Pranush saw Alice and wanted to go to her.Vivaan carefully put him down as he got busy.He then sat beside Varna.He glared at her cold behaviour and kissed her cheeks.The sudden kiss made her freeze.She looked at him smirking at her.

Var-"I hate you.Vivaan Reddy."

She made pout and he had fruits from her plate.He kissed her other cheek then forehead and lips.

V-"I know that.Your so good with lies wifey.Take care.I will be back soon."

He stood on his feet and then kissed her forehead.He took his bag and found his son making all noise with Alice and her babies.

Var-"Vivaan."

He frowned hearing her and turned back.Helping her stand on her feet.He could feel her snuggling to him and smiled.Her anger was just like ice melting on seconds.He rubbed her back and then touched their baby.Bending down and kissing there.

V-"Hmm dont be naughty and take care of amma.Till I come back."

Varna smiled faintly and felt tug at her heart.They had argument in morning and she was angry why he was staying at home.For her and messing his work.He was only one here handling office and if he stays at home she knew it wont be easy.But now seeing him all ready and going it made her sad.Such were her mood swings.

Vivaan looked at her face and gave her side hug.As they walked till they reach his car.shivani took Pranush in her lap and both waved at him bye.

V-"Hmm.Till I come back dont be stubborn.Eat goodly and be calm."

He kissed her forehead and left.She kept staring at him and then went back to garden.Spending some time there.
