Chapter 14

Damian's pov- 

 I'm enraged how could we have let this catastrophe happen . Some random girls could steal from the bat family . Well it's not like they knew who we were anyways, but that doesn't excuse our sloppiness and their derange behaviour. Jinx was it? I heard her friend who  puked on Jason call her that while she rolled down the pavement.  Her purple hair and amber eyes that contain mischief in them. She's dangerous, this attack seemed to well planned for an untrained civilian I never wanted to have this party but everyone, my family and my friends insisted. I detest crowds I much rather have animals keep me company. However they kept insisting saying I needed to make more memories in Highschool. 

Childish if you ask me . I was born  to be the best to take down my enemies. That's what mother and  the league of assassins taught me. I need to be the embodiment of perfection and carrying my farther's and older brother's legacies as Robin is now my purpose. I intend to never fail. It's been 7 years since I've moved in them after the downfall of the league and my mother dropping me off here.

I was reluctant to form any type of connection with them but. Eventually they wiggled their way into my heart and made me feel like part of the family. They're hardworking and sacrifice everything to protect this city. They 've had there struggles and the things some of them gone  through is unimaginable.  Nobody messes with my family and gets away with it. I swear Jinx you've made a powerful enemy who, your not ready to deal with. If she wants to play games she better be prepared to loose. 

I help clean up the remaining mess from the party. There's a meeting in the bat cave in 5 min to discuss this whole scandal. As soon as the girls left , we shut the party down and made sure everyone left. Jon , Kira and the rest of the gang wanted to stay and help with the clean up. Which would have been helpful but I refused. I needed some space and theirs already separate drama going on with us on top of this whole heist scandal. I wonder why Jon seemed like he knew Jinx ? How strange, not like care but it seems weird.😐 Did they meet during the party? They seemed really friendly, he even laughed at her jokes.

 He hasn't been himself with the Kira and Jay drama. Speaking of Kira she seemed like she detested Jinx even more than I did. Understandable if she did steal her jewellery , but what ponders me is how she could have  done it?   Foe Kira to have not noticed seems quite odd . She's a high trained individual and Wonder Women's daughter no less. That must have required immense skill. 

I see something shimmer on the lawn, I kneel down to inspect it and notice it's a knife. I remember, didn't I kick it out of her hand? It has Jinx carved on it in italics. That's right she tried to stab me before I contained her. Her skin felt silky smooth to touch, quite the contrast to her hostile actions. I remember the smell of her perfume, rose petals it was overwhelming my senses . I pick the knife and squeeze it tight in my hand it pricks my skin and leaves a small cut. Just the thought of her makes me see red or rather purple in this case with the abnormal colour of her hair. Why does everything about her have to be so loud, her smile, her jokes , her voice, her cockiness it's lunatic behaviour it stands against everything I believe. The sooner we can close the case the better I don't need her swimming around in my head anymore. 

Stephanie : " Damian come inside ,  it's meeting time."  She quickly snaps me out of my thoughts . I make haste towards the front door stashing the knife into my pocket.

Steph: " What happened to your hand?"

"Nothing I was just reckless with some glass." " I'll use the med kit in the cave."

Steph: "You need to be more careful."

"I'm fine no need to worry, let's go before we're the last one's to arrive  you know how Jason is about having to wait."
