Chapter 5

We made our way outside, the night air was warm surprisingly for the end of August. The pool was massive with it even having a volleyball net. There was an outside DJ and a makeshift bar with a table full of beers. I could see why Jason was telling me to rather get a drink here, the table was filled with all different kinds of beers from white claw, to castle light and some bottles of 1942 to drink as well.  People were having the time of their life, there was even an  guy that looks like his a Senior that jumped off the pool house roof. A girl with light brown hair , glasses and in a wheelchair was calling out to him. Wheelchair girl, " Tim be careful you could hurt yourself or someone else. I'm going to take a guess and say that guy was Tim Drake Wayne.

Jon, " Do you want me to hold your purse for you, seems like it's slowing you down?" "No I'm good  it's probably my feet in these hills, I'm just tired from dancing." I lied.  My purse was heavy I had a lot of stolen stuff in there, I even took out my gun and strapped it on my thigh to make some  space.  Note to self: Bring a bigger bag to a rich kid's party. I don't want Jon to accidentally find my little souvenirs for the night. 

We finally made it to the beer table, Jon grabbed him a bud light beer, while I took myself a passion fruit cocktail. It was really pretty with blue and purple colours mixed in it and a little pink umbrella at the side. "Look who we have here?" I know that voice. I turned around to meet Kira, but she wasn't talking to me she was talking to Jon. Kira, "Jon where were you the gang and I were looking for you all night, we're hanging out at by the cabanas. Jay is also there."

I don't know who is this Jay person but by the look on Jon's face, he made him feel uncomfortable. I tension in the air felt awkward, but I just wanted to out of there ,before Kira realises where her bracelet and necklace actually went. Luckily  Jon felt the same way as me and said.

"Kira I'm good, tell the gang I'll meet up with them later." She didn't seemed too pleased with the expression she had on her face. " Are you sure? Jay really wants to talk with you" she said. This time she and even placed her hand on Jon's arm , almost like she was trying to hypnotise him.

"I'm sorry but Jon and I were just about to go dance together." I said with some attitude. I was starting to get annoyed with Kira this is the third time tonight I'm running into her. Frankly I'm starting to get tired of her. Kira gave me a confused look almost asking why am I here?

HONEY please give me reason to fight you tonight, you've been getting on my last nerve for a while. Don't come being thinking your all that because you're in that group of yours. " Jon you ready ? let's go"

I grabbed his other arm and dragged him away from Kira. I didn't dare look back at her, I think she's getting suspicious of me and that's not a good sign.🥲

Jon on the other hand seemed ok with getting away from that conversation as fast as possible. I dragged him to far end of the pool area , a porch near som Pom trees. Dang how big is this house?
