Weston

A dirt road, a wooden house, and the world of a lake. It's simple, but not. Not because its qualities are complicated, but because the memories are. There almost not real. I've been here multiple times, fishing with Steven and his dad. I can remember being almost like another son. This was before everything went to hell, before the cheating and separation.

He lives alone now, guess that women found out what he was doing or just got tired of him, could also be vice versa, but I doubt that. This old house, has been everyone's for as long as I can remember. Before it was just his, or poison, it was a getaway. We stayed here and would fish on weekends. Now Steven is invited few times a year. I think it's a way of his dad saying, "I'm still here, but don't have to take care of you."

If Steven could forgive him, I thought I could. Even if he's not my dad, he hurt others, he sort of hurt me as well. Unlike my dad who is always in my life but never there, Mr. Bradley, was there, always. For me, for Julianne, Mrs. Bradley, Steven. I didn't see the day he wouldn't be coming. I wish I did, But I didn't.

"Stay here." I tell Julianne and Mia both.

"Why?" Julianne asks.

"Just stay please. We don't know what where dealing with here. I cannot risk you getting hurt." I open the door and step out.

"Whatever." She says. I know she's angry, but she's going to have to be. I know its her brother, but this is dangerous. I could walk into the house and there could be blood everywhere, or people waiting to pop a bullet into the next person that walks through the door.

I don't bother knocking, figured I'm past that right now, nor would it be a very smart move with what's going down, whatever that is. Mr. Bradley is sitting on a stained couch in a living room. "Mr. Bradley?" I call to him. He looks up, just noticing that I have come in. "Weston. What are ya doing here boy?" he ask. Making him sound old or older.

"I'm looking for Steven." I say, trying to play it off.

"He left, earlier today." He says, now standing.

"Did he tell you where he was going?"

"No but I figured he was headed back home, said he needed to leave early." Worried wrinkles appear on his forehead, that's how I know he is no part of the gun-man group.

"Guess I should go there and check. He just didn't tell me he was leaving early and I needed to tell him something." What can I say? I don't want to get him roweled up, even if I could care less. I don't need him freaking out on me. All I need is him calling Mrs. Bradley, that's one I don't want to upset.

I can see him stumbling for words, but I tell him I should really go. When I get to the car, I see that it is empty. Of course they would, hopefully there doing something stupid and have not been napped or dragged somewhere. "Julianne. Mia." I call, low so Mr. Bradley doesn't come out.

Julianne

Here's what I know, I felt like I needed to go to the woods in the back by the lake so I did. Mia dragged along. I also know that we found Steven. Covered in blood, a large gash in him and scratches everywhere. "Steven!" I call to his limp, distorted body. He's unconscious. After shaking, he wakes, obviously he passed out from losing a lot of blood. That's my guess anyways. I fall to the ground, tears blurring my vision, so I don't see Steven anymore, I see pieces of him.

"Your alive." He lets out a moan and cough. "What do we do?" A nervous Mia ask, it's like we traded places. I tear a piece of his shirt, that is already ripped off. "Go dip this in the lake, I need water to clean this womb." She takes the fabric, nods and runs off.

Steven lets out another moan. "Hang in there Steven." I open the rest of his shirt to observe the womb. I place my hand on it for some other reason. I hear rustling behind me and crunches of leaves. "It's Mia and Weston's behind her. "I got it!" Mia says. "Here..." She stares down in shock. I look down and see what she see's. His womb is gone under my fingers, gone. Closed. "How?"

"Julianne! I told you to stay back there !" Weston shouts and I let him, because I'm too astonished to say anything. Had we at some invisible mushrooms walking back here, or are we just so tired that we imagined the gash. "Julianne !" Weston shouts, noticing I'm not listening to what he's saying. "Help me get him in the car." I say to Weston. He listens. He picks Steven up as is he's a bag of potatoes. "Where not finished here." He starts walking back towards the opening.

She saw it, Mia. I look at her and she's looks back in my eyes. There's a silent debate, should we tell Weston what happened or what we thought happened. Something not right about this and we know it.

Stevens in the back seat with Mia. Mia insisted she sit in the back. I didn't argue with her. Steven is now some what alert and he says, "What the hell happened?"

"I don't know man. You tell me."

Steven looks at me and then yells. "Julianne. What did you do to me? I remember that!" I look back at him. "You saw it to?"

"Yeah, I was awake then. Remember? Not only did I see it, I felt it."

"What's he talking about." Weston, oblivious to what where talking about asks.

"I don't know how to say it." I tell him. I don't know what happened myself. All I know is that I touched him and then I looked down and boom, that gash was gone."

"She fricken healed me with some powers or some shit." Steven says instead of letting me come up with something that sounds, reasonable or easier to believe. In a way, I'm kind of glad to know he's still himself.

"I missed you." I tell him, because its seems like the perfect time to tell him.
