Julianne

We got ourselves into this somehow, I don't know how. But we did and now it's up to us to find out what's going on. We could try to tell the cops we didn't do anything, but there is no telling if they would believe us, and trying may only result in jail. After driving for hours we finally lost the cops, completely. There however is still a search, and there looking for out vehicle. I decide to stop the van down the road from a used car lot. "We need to rent a car." I say looking in the rear view mirror at Steven and Weston. They nod in agreement.

We send Mia since she is the least recognizable. She put on a baseball cap that was shoved in the back of the van and a pair of 80 dollar ray-bands. We wait patiently for her return. I lay back my head, and let out a breath that seems to have been there begging to be released. A hand on my shoulders alerts me that Steven and Weston are still here. "It's going be okay." Weston's voice comforts me.

As I see Mia driving up beside me, I let out one short lived word, "Maybe."

The car is pretty small, but will do. Steven begs to take the wheel, but after what he's been through I opt out. Instead Weston drives, I sit beside him in the front.

Hours and hours of silence pass and I can see the night start to set, I glance back and notice Mia and Steven are knocked out. "You should probably sleep too." Weston's says looking back at them and then to me. "Like I can." I say harsh, not meaning it towards him.

He is silent. "Where are we going?"

"I don't know yet." he admits

"Weston, we shouldn't keep running."

"What do you want to go turn ourselves in? Because that will do nothing, but get us locked up. Your still a minor, you'd have it easier. But us? We'd serve hard for this." I stare at his eyes, seriousness penetrating them. The Weston I knew, has grown up and matured even more.

"I don't know what we should do. But I know we shouldn't keep running from this. We need to figure out why someone is after us. We need to know why I can move things without touching them..how I healed Steven..." At that point I had forgotten that I never told him about the thing with Steven, that I had told Mia to keep hushed on it.

"You what?" He asked with a loud curious voice.

"I just...," I start the on quiet my voice remembering the sleeping ears in the back, "I just don't know, he was cut badly and then he wasn't. Me and Mia don't know what happened. Just that I had to have something to do with it. I'm some freak of nature."

Saying those words made me believe them, I was. I did things I never knew were possible.

"Julianne, you could have told me. Your not a freak of nature. Your, you. Maybe God gave you some special gift. Maybe your a fallen angel, I have heard about them. Maybe these guys are after your because of what you can do."

His words soak in slowly, maybe they are. "I doubt fallen angels our real." I counter.

He glances at me and back at the road ahead of him, "Well I doubted healing powers were real too. I also  doubted I'd fall in love with my best friends younger sister."

His words bring a real smile to my face. I want to say, I doubted it too, but don't, Steven still can't know. I close my eyes, with out realizing how tired I was. Next thing I know, I'm dreaming of angels.

Weston
"Julianne wake up." I shake her shoulder gently. Last night when she told me about the healing powers, I tried to make her feel better, make her know she was not a freak of nature, she was Julianne, the girl who meant the most to me right now. She opens her eyes, and the sun hits her and she looks so instantly beautiful. I know for a fact she is not a freak.
