Ignore the mistakes :3

It had been six days.
Not too long, but long enough for the house to feel painfully quiet without Jihoon in it. Taehyung didn’t text him after that night. He wanted to...every single day..but he respected Jihoon’s words: "Please don’t come to me. I just need time."
Jungkook stayed with Taehyung the whole time, cooking, doing dishes, folding laundry beside him in silence as Taehyung helped him with chores. Neither of them smiled much. They didn’t talk too deep.
They waited.
And then, on a calm Saturday evening, just as Taehyung was making tea, the doorbell rang.
Taehyung blinked. He wiped his hands on a kitchen towel and rushed to the door. When he opened it, his breath caught.
“Jihoon…”
There he was. Bag on one shoulder, eyes soft but steady.
“Appa,” Jihoon said with a small smile.
Taehyung stepped aside without a word, heart racing, and let him in.
Jungkook had come out of the bedroom, wearing a plain white shirt, towel slung over his shoulder. He froze for a second when he saw Jihoon.
Jihoon looked back at him..his face unreadable..but there was no anger in his eyes. Just... tired acceptance.
“I wanted to talk,” Jihoon said, standing in the middle of the living room.
“Of course,” Taehyung said, voice gentle. “Let’s sit.”
The three of them sat down at the dining table... Jihoon at one end, Taehyung and Jungkook beside each other, though not too close.
For a long second, nobody spoke. The only sound was the low hum of the fridge.
Then Jihoon started.
“I thought a lot these past few days,” he said, eyes on the table. “It was hard. I won’t lie. That night… it broke something inside me.”
Jungkook lowered his head, guilt prickling under his skin.
Taehyung was about to speak, but Jihoon raised a hand gently. “Let me finish, please.”
Taehyung nodded silently.
“I was hurt,” Jihoon said. “Not just because I liked Jungkook. But because I didn’t expect to lose both of you in the same moment. That’s what it felt like.”
Taehyung closed his eyes.
“But after crying it out… and talking to someone who really listens…” Jihoon paused, a ghost of a smile flickering, thinking of Minjae. “I realised… maybe this wasn’t betrayal. Just… life. Messy and unfair. And human. I am really sorry that I acted like that.”
Jungkook slowly lifted his head.
Jihoon looked at him. “I don’t hate you. Either of you.”
Jungkook blinked fast, trying not to tear up.
“You broke up with me before anything happened. You told me the truth. And Appa… you didn’t hide either. It’s not like you two planned to hurt me.” Jihoon sighed, voice cracking slightly. “You just… found something real. And I can't be the one to stand in the way of that. Don't ever feel guilty, Jungkook.”
Jungkook covered his mouth with a shaky hand.
“I want to say I’m okay. But I’m not completely,” Jihoon admitted, with honesty that made the room feel tender. “I still feel replaced sometimes. It still stings. But I also know love isn’t something you control. And I want you both to be happy.”
