The rest of our day was just that: bliss. We picked flowers together as the baby blue sky faded to a gentle purple. I was just so entranced in everything Asami did. The way she moved, the way her hair reflected the gentle glow of the trees surrounding, the way she smiled at me.
"C'Mon Korra, don't make me the only one who's naked!"Asami chuckled. What? WHAT? W H A T T H E F U C K D I D I MI S S? My face turned profusely red. Asami laughed.
"w-What do y-you mean?" I stuttered.
" I'm not going to spend the rest of the trip with someone who reeks of mud, Korra!" Asami snorted.
Oh. OH. OHHHHHH. This was embarrassing. Actually I don't think embarrassing covers it. Aang was definitely smoother than this with Katara. I quickly pulled off my clothes and jumped into the clear pond, splashing Asami. Nice Going, Avatar Korra, bender of the ladies. I looked around for Asami, hoping she wasn't mad at me. All of a sudden, I felt a tug on my foot. Something was pulling me down.
My body froze, as horror painted my face. I tried to kick away my legs from whatever beast had gripped me. Chains were wrapped around them as water filled my lungs, poisoning me. Spluttering, I scanned once again for Asami. I couldn't find her. No. There was no way she could have been-
My worry was interrupted by a familiar face, and replaced with absolute terror. Like a distorted reflection, like staring at a joke mirror, like viewing a murky puddle of oil, like what you see at the end of your bed in the middle of the night, there she was. Me. I hadn't seen the ghastly reflection in so long. My body went limp as I began to sink. I no longer felt the creature's fingers hold me down, I hadn't since I saw her, but the chains still held me.
"Korra!" a voice cried.
