Chapter Ten~ The Fight between Mates and Rogues

Scott jolts up. Quickly he swings his legs over to the ground throwing on a pair of shorts. They looked different from regular shorts, but I let it slip my mind. Once he leaves I run to my room and grab a pack of emergency clothes. Taking them in my hand I run downstairs. Tossing the bag up, I run off the deck shifting in mid air, and catching my bag.

Arriving at the pack border I run up to the fight raging on ahead of me. I drop my bag and begin to fight. Snapping neck left and right. Abruptly the fighting starts. I look up from the limp wolf under my paws. "Skylar, come out, hiding time is over," a voice echoes. I grab my bag and head to the front of the crowd. There stands in all his glory, Xavier. I look to my right to see Shawn, my dad, and Scott surrounding him. He grins once his eyes rest upon me. Scott senses me.

'Skylar dammit, what are you doing here?' Scotts wolf snaps at me in front of everyone. 'I came to help.' My wolf's head went down.

'You shouldn't be here were don't need your help. I don't need you here at all now leave!' This hurt a little bit. Thinking my mate doesn't need me. I turn around and begin to leave the clearing. His chuckles are all that I hear. Stopping at tree line I look back. Xavier's eyes meet mine "Skylar I will come back and you won't be able to run." As quick as he and his wolves were here they were gone. I shake my head and take off towards the pack house.

Reaching my room I begin to shove clothes inside my backpack. I don't choose any of my valuables. Tears feel my eyes as zip up my bag. I wipe them away as quick as I could. 'I can't cause this pack anymore pain. I am sorry Kira.' Kira nods. She always picks my side, but I can sense her sadness of leaving her mate. 'Kira I think we can find our mom and dad. We probably have siblings out there.' Kira understands. Grabbing the dress and bracelet I shove them into the bag and race out the door. I was exiting the back door, when Scott entered the front door. His eyes snapped up to mine. Silently saying my goodbye. Shut the door. Tossing my bag up, I shifted into my wolf. I wasted no time getting to the pack border. Scott was on my heels all the way here. Hastily looking through my backpack, I found what I was looking for. Laying his shirt on the ground along with the pictures. I howl and take off into no mans land.

Minutes later I hear a broken howl erupt from behind me. Tears filled my eyes, and Kira buried herself into the back of my mind.

My wolf was exhaust from running. The sun was now setting signaling I have run for a full day. Finding a nice spring to lie down by I shift back and throw on some clothes. I bury my head into my bag, and close my eyes.

"Where are you Skylar and Aaron?" I hear giggles erupt from beside me. I look through the slits in the wooden door. The woman was standing right in front of us. Knowing she already found us we pushed the door out of the way. "We are here mommy." The little boy and I said together. She gushed, "Oh my I would of never guessed." She spun us around, Aaron on one hip and I on the other.

"Queen Ann," the woman jumped from the voice. She turned around and her grip tightens on me. "Oh Landon. Hello how are you? And Xavier how is he doing?" I could tell the smile on her face was stressed. He took a step closer. Judging him quickly I knew I didn't like him. "We are fine. Xavier is interested in seeing little Skylar Ann here." My brother growled. The man continued, "Where is your mate?"

"I am right here." A voice boomed from behind me. "Da-da," my voice spoke with out my permission. He smiled at me and took me from my mother's hip. "King William," the scary man bowed, "I was just saying how much Xavier can't wait to met Skylar here, for the first time." My father nodded cautiously. The grin on the man's face spread. He bowed and excused himself.
