Xephos ran down the hallway spamming torches along the wall. Honeydew followed, running as fast as he could on his dwarven legs. He was carrying his pick in one hand and a Jaffa in the other.
"Xephos! Calm down with the torches, we need them." Honeydew shouted at Xephos. Xephos laughed and carried on spamming torches. “Xephos!” Honeydew carried on chasing his best friend.
“What the shit is this?” Honeydew heard Xephos before he saw him. He ran faster and saw his lanky friend staring at the hole before them. “Um...” Honeydew fell on the floor in a fit of laughter. Xephos began to think when he saw a chest. “Aha!” He ran over and opened it, inside was a few stacks of stone. “Great, Honeydew help me here.” The dwarf walked over and picked up the brick. He started to build a bridge across the large hole.
“There we go friend. There you go.” Honeydew ran across and grabbed the things in the opposite chest. He squealed in excitement.
“What is it?” Xephos said after he had tentatively walked over the stone bridge. Honeydew grinned wildly and held up some TNT and a flint and tinder. “Are you serious?” Xephos said breaking out in a fit of laughter. “Come on, let’s go.” Xephos walked down the dark tunnel placing torches and holding his sword in the other hand. There was a groan from down the end of the tunnel and he gripped his sword tighter. Honeydew ran past him and slashed wildly knocking down a lot of zombies. Xephos ran ahead with him and they defeated all the mobs.
“Wait, Xephos, what are we actually looking for?” Honeydew said as they continued to walk ahead.
“Erm... I think it’s a lost sword or something.” Xephos said sounding a little unsure. Honeydew sniggered then got distracted by something. He ran ahead. “Honeydew what are you-”
“AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAW” Honeydew squealed, making Xephos wince a little.
“What the hell have you found?”
“Look at the little baby!” Honeydew picked up the baby spider and thrust it as Xephos. Xephos fell backwards in shock.
“That’s a spider! Put it down!” Honeydew went to put it down when it jumped at Xephos. “AAAAH SHIT!” Xephos killed it in one swing of his sword. “Can we carry on please?” Honeydew helped his friend up and they continued to walk. Xephos planted a torch on the wall but they heard the hissing too late. The explosion sent Xephos flying into a wall, Honeydew screamed and ran over. Xephos had lost both of his legs to the point of no recovery. He was bleeding badly.
“Xephos! Xephos! Don’t leave me here. Don’t do it!” Honeydew was crying as Xephos started to go pale. His black hair stood out compared to his pale white skin.
“Honeydew... you were the best friend ever... goodbye...” Xephos stopped breathing and his eyes closed. Honeydew was silent for a minute, taking in what had just happened.
“NO! NO! NO! XEPHOS COME BACK!” Honeydew hit the lifeless body. “Xephos please... I’m sorry.” Honeydew picked up his friend and carried him out of the cave. He carried him back to Duncan. “Here... I couldn’t save him... it’s over. Goodbye Duncan.” Duncan looked on in confusion and horror. Honeydew buried Xephos. He visits his grave every single day, he cries for his friend. He remembers the good things never the bad things.
