A Thousand Years

Heart beats fast

He held the pendant in his hand. The pendant that fit with hers. The broken heart.

Colors and promises

He threw it away and sighed. He pulled out a picture of her and kissed it before throwing it too.

How to be brave?

He cloed his eyes and sighed. He looked up at the sky and smiled a little under the mask.

How can I love when I'm afraid to fall

He remembered when she fell near him.When he found her and fell for her.  

But watching you stand alone?

He remembered looking over the crater with her. Looking at what used to be theirs. What used to be there.

All of my doubt suddenly goes away somehow

He closed his eyes and looked at the edge.

One step closer

He move forward a bit. Closer to the edge.

Time stands still

He froze. He heard her.

Beauty in all she is

Her hair waving past her face. Her eyes sparkling. Her smile fading.

I will be brave

He clenched his fists and looked back one more time.

I will not let anything take away

He shook his head and looked forwards again. Looking over the edge again.

What's standing in front of me

He saw the two idiots that had caused this and scowled. He growled.

Every breath

He gasped.

Every hour has come to this

He looked up at the sky and laughed weakly.

One step closer

He moved closer.

One step closer

And closer.

One step closer

He was at the edge, his feet just hanging on.

I have died everyday waiting for you

He looked back to her. His back facing the cliff edge.

Darling don't be afraid I have loved you

He smiled and pulled his mask down.

For a thousand years

He looked at her, fear and sadness in his eyes.

I'll love you for a thousand more

He nodded at her and she shook her head.

And all along I believed I would find you

He closed his eyes remembering the explosion.

Time has brought your heart to me

She ran towards him ready to catch him.

I have loved you for a thousand years

He shook his head and stepped back. Falling off the edge of the cliff. She screamed and swung for him.

I'll love you for a thousand more

She screamed more and more as he fell through the air. He fell faster and faster, she dissapeared from view. He hit the floor and all the air escaped from him. His eyes glazed over and he stopped moving.
