"My time here is almost over." She said it almost like a whisper as her cloudy eyes stared at the lush canopy below the cliff.
The alpha sighed in resignation. He knew that it would come but he didn't expect it to be so soon. "Did you see who's going to be your successor?" He asked.
The seer pressed her lips. A few strands of her silver hair swayed as the gust of wind struck her wrinkled face. "No." She simply said.
The alpha sighed, yet again. He can't afford to lose the seer right now. Though at the back of his head, he really wanted her to rest as well.
"But," she added. "I see a bright light." She paused. "If it means anything, it's going to be good. A storm may come. Yet you have Allen. He's the key to prevent this imminent catastrophe." She said.
And for the third time, he sighed. "How is he?"
"He's in agony. I suggest you take him away from Kendrick. He's on the verge of breaking down. Had I known this, I wouldn't have ensued the idea of them living together."
"It was my fault as well. I got too confident that Kendrick will come to his senses." He said with remorse and a hint of disappointment.
"You better get Allen now." She muttered, barely audible.
The alpha stood and before he could walk out the small hut, the seer spoke once again.
"This might be the last time. You'll know when my time has come to pass."
The alpha bowed his head. "It is an honor to have you. Thank you. You have done so much for the pack."
Her dried lips curved into a smile. "It's my job."
The alpha walked out with a heavy heart.

I stared blankly at the ceiling. I can't sleep. How could I when my mate is at the opposite room with some girl doing things they're not supposed to do? How could Kendrick be so cruel? The way the pack people told me, he is a good person. I wanted to believe them-No, I did believe them. But this is too much. He is purposely doing this.
A prickle of tear fell again and I immediately wiped it. I'm tired of crying. My wolf nudged me in agreement.
I lifted myself up the bed and as soon as I opened the window, cold wind struck me. I didn't care anymore-I can't take it anymore. I jumped out and shifted then ran as fast as I could. My wolf was angry. We both are. We felt betrayed and rejected. It's the worst feeling ever.
I heard him whimper as we recalled the scenes of Kendrick and his makeout session with the girl. And we reached a cliff. With a heavy heart, I let out a howl. It was a howl to let out all my heart aches.
And if the moon deity heard it. Might as well know that she's a douche to setup Kendrick as my mate.
Then I felt weak. The effects of the rejection is slowly gnawing me. My wolf whimpered and I shifted into my human form. I curled into a ball, naked. I don't care of what may happen. I just want this painful feeling to disappear.
For the very first time, I felt cold.

Allen lay there with his consciousness slowly fading, completely unaware of the eyes staring at him from afar. Its owner smiled bitterly. She can't help Allen right now. But she was sure that help is coming."Rest for now Allen, " She whispered "we'll see each other very soon." And with that, she put back on her hood and retracted back towards the dark forest. Someone was calling her. And she knew that it was fate, for she has seen it. And she knew that she can't say no.
