We landed a good 15 miles below Luna's crust. My Ghost telling me we are in the Temple of Crota.
Profane creatures. Hive. Worshiping a pillaging tyrant like Crota.
This ain't no temple. Says my Titan. Where's the pillars. All that's here is graves. This is a mausoleum. He implies.
How'd you know? Asks my Hunter as I ignite a Solar Charge, lighting our way.
Exo told me. Old Hunter. Says he knew Saint-14.
My Hunter scoffs. She is more accustomed to the outlaw Dredgen Yor or Shin Malphur.
Definitely a mausoleum. But to who? I ask. Wizards? Knight Generals? This is shoddy. Like a place for Thralls. I debunk, praying I'm right.
We continued on. Darkness swallowing us.
This is suffocating. Hunter says shivering. Can we leave? Like now? She says as if begging.
I share her desire to leave but I'm pulling along, something beckoning me to.
As if I'm on a string or a trap.
The more I pull.
The more I am pulled.
Some fearless Hunter, Titan scoffs. Why not check it out? Eris is killing Crota as we speak. Titan says confidently. His helm masking his words in an electronic belch.
They will fail. I say straight.
Takes more than Light and a desire to die to kill a God-King.
No faith? Not even in Master Toland? Hunter asks.
He's the one I have the most fear of.
We continue in.

By this time we have traversed at least to double our descent.
30 miles Guardian. Ghost says in my ear as if to warn me.
We stop.
Sudden.
But as if we knew we would.
We listen.
A faint hum in the dark.
As if a dust mite is trying its best to roar to us.
But it builds. And sets.
Drum.
I repeat as it hits again.
Yeah I hear it too. Titan says quietly.
Why would there be drums down here? Hunter asks.
Let's go find out. Titan smirks.
I hesitate for but a moment.
Should we?
It's Hive.
All signs point to it being a trap.
We could be drained of our Light.
Forced to serve another profane mad-King.
Or worse.
But I press on.
Almost wanting what comes next.
