Sara stepped off of the train and walked into the city of Inkopolis. "Wow! Finally here!" Sara was so excited to compete in her first turf war! As she wandered through the crowd looking around, she bumped into a figure. "Hey! Watch where you're-" The angry looking inkling suddenly paused and his eyes widened. Sara looked into his eyes, and he returned the same look. What was this that she saw in his eyes? She wasn't sure but he had beautiful emerald eyes. "Oh! I'm so sorry!" He didn't seem angry at all anymore. "No,No! It was my fault I'm sorry." Sara replied apologetically. "My names Matthew, but you can call me Matty, are you new here kid?" "Yeah, my name's Sara by the way." The two inklings had a short conversation and then walked away. A few hours later, Sara went and joined her turf war, looking for Matty to be on her team. The other inklings were talking about gear and weapons, but Sara just couldn't get him off her mind. When they entered the Kelp Dome, he want on her team. To her surprise, he was on the opposing team! She looked at him from afar, his face determined to achieve a win for his team, pink. The timer ticked down...3....2.....1....-GO!
The battle began and the teams stormed through the map! Sara's team was covering a good amount of ground with their green ink and they hadn't met the other team yet. Because the stage was Kelp Dome, Sara decided to take the grate path above the map. Covering a lot of ground, she decided it was time to sneak into the enemies base. Little did she know, her team had killed all the pink members! As Sara sneaked in, the other team began to respawn. By the time she noticed, it was far too late. Three team members had her surrounded in a corner. "Any last words kiddie? HAH" As they pointed their guns in unison at her, a loud yell stopped them. "WAIT!" Matty had spawned! "You guys are wasting time! Go cover ground, I'll take care of her." The rest of his team looked suspicious but saw the other team advancing and ran off. Sara looked into the shining eyes of the boy, and realized he wasn't aiming his gun. "Promise me you'll be more careful next time, you won't get away this easily all the time." Sara blushed "You aren't going to splat me?" The boy gave a small smirk, "Consider it a welcome gift." As the boy ran off, Sara remembered when they first met. Both times he had a look in his eye, one she couldn't identify. But now she could clearly see that his eyes showed one feeling, affection.
