Smoke rises in the sky as Alicorn looks off into the distance, before sighing and kneeling down to the surface of the water. She runs a hand over the grey hull of a half-sunk Human Operated Ship, a destroyer.
She runs her hand over the large clean circular hole in the side, burn markings surround the hole. She runs her hand over the hole and looks at her fingers, no residue. Her rigging sniff the air and move around.
Her rigging is three massive shark heads with red eyes. Their size rivals that of Friedrich. The left most head is named Kevin, the middle is named Mase, and the right is named Rin. The left and right heads have large cannons on their heads and necks, with rail guns in their mouths. The middle head has a rail cannon on the top of his head, that acts like a flight deck. There is a cannon in his mouth.
Alabama skates up beside her, and Alicorn looks towards her. Alabama just shakes her head, making Alicorn frown.
"No survivors and all these wounds looks to perfect to be from a cannon." Alicorn states as she stands up, turning to Alabama.
"So you're saying humans didn't do this?" Alabama asks as she skats over to the HO ship and looks over the large hole.
"No, they couldn't have done this." Alicorn looks around her, seeing dozens of human bodies floating in the water, along with dozens of sinking or barely floating ships.
Essex and Fargo sail through the carnage, looking over each ship they come across. Ingraham is following them, a clipboard in hand.
"So who could have?" Alabama gets Alicorn's attention again.
Alicorn stares at the burn markings on the ship. "...Sirens."
Beads of sweat appear on Alabama's brow. "But there hasn't been a sighting in nine years. Why would they come back now."
"I... I don't know." Alicorn turns to Alabama. "Gather what bodies you can secure, and bring them onboard Essex's ship. No man left behind."
Alabama salutes with a serious look. "Yes, ma'am!"
Alabama sails off and Alicorn looks around at the destroyed fleet. An spark of energy rushes through her and she looks up to the cloddy sky, narrowing her eyes up to the clouds.
Then suddenly a phone rings from within her uniform, she huffs and pulls out the phone as she looks out to her fellow ship girls. She answers it and a older voice comes through the line.
"What's the situation, Alicorn?" General Shepard asks in a serious tone.
"Not good, sir." Alicorn responds. "All ships are sunk, and there are no survivors."
"Do you have any idea who could have done this."
"Just a theory sir." Alicorn looks down at the nearly sunk ship beside her. "Sirens."
"That's a heavy word, Alicorn. Are you sure?"
"It's just a theory, sir. But without anymore intel, I can't think of anything else."
General Shepard sighs. "Alright then, bring the bodies home, and get the black boxes from the ships. If you find anything of who did this, you tell me first."
"Right, sir."
"I'll contact Commander Silica to double the patrols, I'll keep you posted. Commander Shepard, out."
The phone calls ends and Alicorn lets out a heavy sigh as she pockets the phone. She glances out behind her and sees Essex's ship moving amongst the debris, Alabama and Fargo brining corpses onto the ship, Ingraham checking on the identities of the bodies.
