Other Side

At Abhimaan’s captain’s room.

Shravani was sprawled comfortably in Abhimaan’s chair, her legs casually resting on the table. Just then, Abhimaan walked in and stopped short.

Abhimaan “Hey—what do you think you’re doing?”

Shravani “Getting used to it.”
She smirked. “This will be my desk very soon.”

Abhimaan shook his head, amused, and took the chair opposite her.

Shravani “You worked really hard cleaning up all the mess this year. Your performance wasn’t exactly perfect…”
She paused dramatically.
“But I’ll make up for it next year.”

Abhimaan “Thanks.”

Shravani raised an eyebrow.

Shravani: “For what, all of a sudden?”

Abhimaan: “For staying back this year. You didn’t have to, but you did—just to help me. And you worked hard too.”

She looked at him, genuinely surprised.

Shravani “You noticed that?”

Abhimaan “Of course I did.”

Shravani leaned back thoughtfully.

Shravani “Still, I think staying on the squad this year was the right decision. It felt… nice.”
She tilted her head. “What about you? What are you planning to do now?”

Abhimaan “I’m not sure yet. I’ll have to think about it.” Then he narrowed his eyes slightly. “But now I’m curious. Why did you want to do this? You hate being part of a group. And don’t tell me you’re thinking of delaying graduation again. We’ve already wasted one year.”

Shravani shrugged casually.

Shravani “Because it’s cool. And stylish.”

Abhimaan laughed softly.

Abhimaan “Idiot. You’re studying to be a lab technician, and you’re already a year behind. Do you really think your dream lab will hire you if you waste another year?”

Shravani fell silent, thinking it over. After a moment, she nodded.

Shravani “You’re right. I’ll think seriously about it, Mr. Captain.”

She emphasized the title teasingly. Abhimaan grabbed a pillow and threw it at her. She laughed as he turned and walked out of the room.

Other Side – Armaan’s House

Since Armaan’s mom wasn’t home, the head maid prepared dinner for Armaan and Rihaan. They thanked her and began eating quietly.

After a moment, Rihaan glanced at Armaan.

Rihaan “By the way… I honestly didn’t think you’d stay till the end. I thought you’d leave the moment Ahana rejected you.”

Armaan smirking slightly “I didn’t know I was this disciplined either. Should I say I discovered a new side of myself?”

Rihaan “Is it because of me? People tend to change once they fall for my charm. No one escapes.”

Armaan chuckled in disbelief.

Armaan “Then I guess Shravani didn’t fall for your charm. Maybe you’re not as magical as you think.”

Rihaan “Forget it. You and I are basically the same. Who are you to give advice?”

Armaan “You and I are not the same.”

Rihaan “Well, we’re in the same situation, aren’t we? Even our height is almost the same.”
