As Asuna started to glow, my tears started falling. It looked as though she was about to burst into a million different shards. Yui's heart shined against her glowing skin, and I couldn't help but think that I was losing them both.
I grasped her hands, not ready to say good bye, and was surprised that they were returning to normal.
A message floated through the air, reminding me of the one that always showed when we beat a boss.
Please type in given name of baby:
Girl: ···
"What?"
"What is it?" Asuna asked, stirring from passing out a few seconds before.
"Y-you were really pregnant? How? When? What do we name the kids?"
She frowned, "I don't understand..."
"Oh Asuna, I'm so glad you're okay," Lis said, walking back into the room. She had left when Asuna had first started to glow.
"Yeah," Asuna responded, simply.
The message started to blink, forcing me to once again read it.
"What do you want to name the girl?"
"I, uh... have always thought Kokoro was a cute name."
Girl: Kokoro
I typed in Kokoro, and pressed enter.
Congratulations! You are now the father of baby girl KOKORO.
More glowing, followed by the appearance of a baby girl with orange eyes and black hair. I caught her in my arms as she began to fall, she started to cry immediately.
"Ah! Shh, shhh, don't cry," I said, rocking her back and forth, not noticing the other message blinking in front of my eyes.
Lis rolled her eyes and took Kokoro from me, and placed her in Asuna's arms. Asuna looked about to pass out again.
Finally I could focus on the message blinking in my eyes:
Please type in given name of baby:
Boy: ···
"Twins?"
Asuna's eyes fluttered closed, she was exhausted.
"What about a baby boy, Asuna?" I whispered, hoping she'd hear me before she fell asleep.
"H....Hikaru."
I nodded and typed it in.
Boy: Hikaru
The message blinked off, only to be replaced with the glowing arrival of a baby boy with dark gray eyes and and Asuna's fiery orange hair.
I once again caught the baby, my baby, Hikaru, in my arms. Just like the other one, Kokoro, he started to cry immediately.
I sighed, and handed him to Lis, knowing it was pointless for me to try and calm him.
Asuna's eyes opened to look at the two babies, she smiled, and passed out once more.
