Chapter Three: In the Crowd

(Isabella's P.O.V.)

It was finally the day of the One Direction concert. After two months of waiting. Two months of Vi trying to hide her excitement. Two months of Lil practicing what she'd say to Zayn. Two months of sharing looks with Jack. Two months of Zo... going insane and watching Harry's every move.

"He better not have a girlfriend when we meet him. He better be waiting for me," she would say nearly every day.

It was a wonderful day. We were just recently out of school and this weeks countdown had just been dragging on and on. The weather was perfect and the five of us were sitting in Lil's back yard, watching Gabe.

"We need to start getting ready," Zo whined.

"My parents will be home soon. Plus, it's only like two. The concert doesn't start until seven," Lil replied with patience.

"We need to get there early though!"

"We have reserved spots, the radio station told me so. No one can get our spots and no matter what we'll be in the front. Then we get to meet them!" I couldn't even hide my excitement. Not today. Vi was also letting hers shine through. Lil was just smiling all day, while Jack would give us all looks like we were insane. Usually I would think they were being crazy as well, but today I was sharing the energy.

That morning we all met up at Lil's with our sleepover stuff and basically all our make-up. Jack came too, and decided he would spend the day with us, drive us to the concert, then pick us up after. Lil's mom was taking a half day of work so we could spend time getting ready and not have to worry about Gabe.

Jack knew he'd have to tolerate us, but Zo was taking it overboard. Although she did have every right. She'd been crushing on Harry since the very beginning and he was all she could think about. She did deserve the chance to meet him, hopefully see he wasn't meant for her, and then realize Jack was her one and only. I'd discussed this several times with Jack, and so today he was being very understanding instead of his usual jealousy.

Finally, Lil's mom pulled up into the driveway. As soon as the car was stopped, Zo bounced up, scooping Gabe into her arms. She ran towards Lil's mom and practically shoved the little boy into her arms.

"Hello to you too Zo," she said, laughing and gladly taking her child into her arms.

"Can we go get ready NOW?" Zo asked, dramatically turning back to us. We all got ourselves up and while we stretched out our legs, she ran inside to start.

"That girl," Vi sighed.

"Oh please, you know you're just as excited to meet your daddy," I teased.

"Says the girl who wants to be "Niall's Princess," she shot back.

"Hey! It's sweet and you know it!"

"Sure, sure," she laughed.

"Well they're nothing compared to my bad boy," Lil smiled happily.

"Guys, can we get this over with, please?" Jack complained.

We happily obliged to his request and met Zo upstairs in Lil's room. Our outfits were spread across the bed and a line of make-up was placed along her vanity.

"Let's get started!" Zo yelled, clapping her hands together.

Three hours later of hair, make-up, dressing, and giddiness: we were done. Jack had been very patient the entire time, giving his comments here and there on if we looked too whore-ish or just right. Zo had to re-do her make-up several times before getting it just right. In my opinion, they were all beautiful.
