Chapter Ten: Nothing But Feelings
(Isabella's P.O.V.)
Niall was nothing but angry while we talked on the phone. He told me that Louis had already called and told him everything that happened. He was just waiting for me to call. He told me over and over how sorry he was, and he was going to talk to all of them. Individually. But that didn't matter now, no matter what happened after this they would never think I'm good enough. I was never the kind of girl that had all those insecurities, but now I was doubting myself entirely.
After Niall and I hung up, I crawled back into Lil's comforting embrace and let them talk all kinds of trash about the three boys they had once idolized.
"Great, now I've also ruined my friends' perspectives on One Direction," I thought.
One Direction had been our lives! That was what we gossiped about at sleepovers. Those were the boys we cried over, voted for, laughed with, and cheered for. I was so frustrated with just everything. My friends wouldn't let me stay alone, so they spent the night. And they stayed most of Sunday.
While we were sitting in the living room playing Outburst, someone rang the doorbell. I got up to get it, and when I opened it I was a little surprised to see Niall standing there with a box of chocolate and a sad expression on his face. Although maybe deep down I knew Niall would come because I wasn't as shocked as I should've been.
"Hey princess," he smiled weakly.
"Hi."
"I um... When we were on the phone I think I forgot to ask how you feel about all this. I'm really sorry. This is the worst, I don't even know what to do about this and ever since we talked, I feel like you're going to break up with me because I have some shitty friends."
"Oh Niall..." I said and hugged him.
"I wouldn't break up with you for that. We'll work it out. Come in, though."
He stepped inside where my friends were already getting themselves put away.
"You guys don't have to leave," I said.
"I think we should," Vi said, eyeing Niall.
My four best friends in the world walked past Niall, Vi completely ignoring him, Lil giving him a small smile, Zo patted his shoulder, and Jack gave him a hard glare.
Once they were gone, I took the chocolates from Niall and took him to the living room. I set them on the coffee table, then sat on the couch, motioning for Niall to sit with me.
"So I talked to them," he said.
"Yeah?"
"Louis was yelling at them mostly. I haven't talked to any of them besides saying they're really disappointing me."
"Niall, you should-"
"No. They don't get it. You're everything I've been waiting for, searching for, and everything I want from.."
I cut him off by going across the couch and to his lap in one quick movement, I had my lips on his kissing him. He seemed to let out all his frustrations into it, kissing me back passionately.
"That was amazing," he said when I lifted my face off of his.
I let out a laugh.
"Worth the wait."
His blue eyes were now shining with happiness.
"That was the best first kiss I've ever had," he winked.
"Last First Kiss?" I teased, bringing up one of their own songs.
"Definitely."
"So what were you saying?"
