Louis' POV

"Yes! Okay! Yes, I like him! What am I supposed to do about that, huh? I can't just walk up to him and say, 'hey we just met, i like you,'! You can't just do that!" I heard from the bathroom.

"Who was that?" Liam asked. "Alice," Harry and I said at the same time. I gave him a look. He just shrugged and blushed with a little smirk on his face. He definitely knew what Kat's voice sounded like.

"Well, what do you think she was talking about?" Liam asked. "Or who," Harry said. "Well we know that whoever she was talking about it was a 'him' and they just met," Niall said, sneaking a glance in my direction. He was still the only one who knew I liked Alice. "C'mon you guys, stop trying to figure out what they were talking about like the 'Mystery Gang'*. If they want you to know what Alice was talking about, they'll tell you," Zayn said. He was right.

Just then, the girls came out, looking calm. "Heeeyyy," Alice said. "How'd you like movie night Kat and Alice style?" Kat asked. "It was awesome!" Harry said, getting up from the couch. "and the food. Oh man, the food," Niall said. "Haha, well Niall, you know there's more where that came from at the cafe just off of the campus perimeter. I can text you the details if you want," Alice said to Niall. She was so cool. I noticed Niall's eyes widened at Alice's statement. "YES," Niall said. There was this kind of underling sense of awkwardness but I think we all tried to avoid it.

Well, most of us tried.

"What were you guys talking about in the bathroom earlier?" Liam asked.

Smooth. Reeaalllly smooth, Liam.

Kat and Alice looked at each other. "Oh, you know, just girl stuff," Kat said casually. You see, someone who could take a hint would get the picture. Sadly, Liam has never been the best at taking hints. "What's girl stuff? And why were you yelling about it?" Liam asked Alice. This... this is not going in the direction I had hoped.

"Nosey, nosey, nosey! I thought British people were supposed to be polite!" Kat said. Oh thank God. I think she just saved us all, "Stereotyping Brits, are we now?" Harry said snarkily. "Hey," Kat started "This is a my country. this- THIS is a free country!" She said which made us all laugh. Maybe things weren't so awkward after all. "Well, um, it's kind of late, so I think we should be going," Alice said. "Yeah, I actually have cram for my test on Monday," Kat said. "Aw, well it was great having you guys over," Zayn said. "Yeah we gotta do this again sometime soon," Harry said. "Definitely," I added. "Well don't just talk about it, call me sometime and we'll make it happen!" Alice said as her and Kat waved us goodbye and left.

"Well that was... interesting, to say the least," I said. "Somebody likes yoooouuuuu," Harry said as he came over and started poking me on the arm. "And you like somebody," Niall said. He was not about to tell everyone. He wouldn't. I gave him a look. "Guys, look, I don't know what you're talking about," I said through small laughs. "Oh come on, Louis! It's blaringly obvious," Zayn said. "The way you act when she leaves, how excited you were when she's here, you've been acting differently since you met her, spacing out all the time, probably thinking about Alice, and what gives it away the most is the way you look at her," he said. Liam looked a little taken aback, and Harry and Niall couldn't help but have smug smirks on their faces. "So what's it gonna be Louis? The truth or are you just gonna run away?" "You want the truth, eh?" I started calmly. "I'll give you the truth," I said with a sigh. "The truth is, I haven't been able to stop thinking about her since the second she left our rehearsal at MSG. The truth is, I haven't told you, because she's the most hard to read person I've ever met, and I honestly don't think she likes me back. The truth is, when we went for a walk, she told me that I was a great friend. She doesn't seem to be looking for a boy at all, because she's so focused on her career. The truth is, she is the most beautiful, mysterious, funny, amazing girl I've ever met, and I'm head over heels falling for her. And finally, truth is, I like Alice. A lot. And I don't think I'm going to do anything about it," I told them. They all just stood back staring at me.

"Well I think if Louis' gonna tell you the truth, then I should to."

We all turned around to see Alice and Kat standing in the doorway.

Alice's POV

"You see, the truth is, I left my jacket here. So I came back. However," I started, "That's not what you want to hear. You want to hear what I think about what Louis just said." "Wait, how much did you hear?" Louis said, his face turning bright red. "Enough," I told him. "Enough to know the truth," I said.

The room was completely silent. All attention was on me. I stood there for a moment. I searched all of their faces. Everything was very tense. "Well, what do you want to know?" I questioned. "We want to know how you feel about Louis, Alice," Harry spoke for all of them. "So, you want to know what I think of Louis. Okay. That's fair. You know what I think? I think I owe you a full explanation," I told them. "You're damn right you owe us a full explanation," Niall said. I looked at Kat. She nodded. signaling that I should tell them. "It's story time boys and girls, pull up a chair and get relaxed," I said.

"I wasn't allowed to date until I was a senior in high school. I have never kissed, crushed on, dated, or liked any guy before. I had myself convinced that I would start worrying about guys when I could stop worrying about what was best for myself. I had myself convinced that I didn't have time for any guy. I don't know what it feels like to like someone. I don't know what it means to get butterflies. At least, I didn't think I knew. Then it hit me. Kat and I were in the kitchen earlier, getting snacks, and Kat told me what it felt like. That's when I got confused. Everything she explained to me was how I was feeling. Kat put in that last movie as some sort "sign" that Louis and I could become a thing, because she was convinced that I liked him. That's why I asked her to go with me to the bathroom. I caught on to what she was doing. You heard me yell at the top of my lungs that I liked somebody. You heard me say that I didn't know what to do. Which finally, yes finally brings me to now. I was given the opportunity to figure out what to do. And this is what I have wanted to do ever since I met your amazing, hot, hilarious, sweet friend." I finished.

I got up, and before anyone could protest, I crashed my lips onto Louis'.  I could feel his shock but soon after, he kissed me back. I could literally feel sparks flying. I pulled away slowly. "Well, uh, I, um," Zayn cleared his throat, " I think, uh...I th- I think we know how Alice feels now..."

"Mhm," Louis said. Harry and Niall started laughing, "What's so funny?" Louis asked. "They're laughing because your life just turned into a romantic comedy, all thanks to this girl," I said proudly, while pointing to myself. "Well, now we actually have to be going. Bye everyone!" I said, and Kat and I headed out.

It was a little past midnight, and a cab had finally pulled up to the curb that we had walked to from they boys' house. "Alice, do you realize what just happened?" Kat asked me. "What do you mean?" I laughed. "I mean, you just turned into the most bad ass, confident girl and confessed your feelings to Louis! I mean, YOU JUST HAD YOUR FIRST KISS!" She squealed. "I just.. I... HOLY SHIT, KAT, YOU'RE RIGHT!!" I was freaking out. No freaking out was an understatement. I was going ballistic. "Kat, Kat, Kat, KAT, OH MY GOD KAT THIS IS NOT THIS IS I AM I CAN'T I MY EMOTIONS ARE WHAT DID I JUST DO?! WHAT JUST HAPPENED KAT WHO AM I WHAT IS LIFE," I was hysterical. We both burst out laughing. "Calm down, calm down, shh shhh," Kat laughed. "Would you two shut up? I'm trying to drive, here!" The cab driver yelled to us from the front. "Sorry!" We said at the same time. Me and Kat looked at each other and squealed. This was a pretty big moment for me, considering I'm 18, and I've never been with anyone before, ever. "Oh my god, Kat, what if it wasn't good?" I started getting freaked out again. "What do you mean?" She said in a concerned tone. "I mean the kiss! I've never kissed anyone before! What if I'm a terrible kisser! What if he never calls me again? Oh my god, what did I do!" "Alice, Alice, I'm sure it was fine! You've seen the movies! You know what to do, I'm sure it was fine. You saw Louis face after you kissed him, he looked like the happiest guy in the world! What do you mean he won't call you? You're crazy!" Kat laughed and whacked me on the arm. "Thanks," I said. "We're here," the cab driver said.

We walked up to our apartment, and I got to bed. I was surprised sleep came to me at all, let alone as fast as it did. For the rest of the night, I lied there, dreaming of Louis.
