Alice's POV

Well.

I just agreed to play some orignal songs for Louis Tomlinson if he were to provide me with a Steinway. What.

So next thing I know, I'm being dragged by the arm through the corridors of Madison Square Garden. I would laugh and kind of yell at Louis to stop pulling on my arm, and he would yell back that I needed to hurry up and then he would laugh too. I'm not going to lie, he was super fun to be around, even though he could be pretty immature.

We finally reached a big door which apparently led to the Steinway Louis was supposedly taking me to. He put his hands over my eyes and started leading me through yet another corridor. This place was massive. But I didn't mind the walking, because it was beautiful.

"Louis, would you take your hands off of my eyes yet?" I asked through giggles. "Almost! Just a few more feet. You can be so impatient sometimes Alice," Louis said, also through laughs. "Oh yes, because you would know all about me and my impatience," I said sarcastically. "Oh shut up. Are you ready?" He questioned. "Wait we're here? Let me see it! I have come face to face with a Steinway once before and this...." before I could continue, Louis interrupted me. "Okay okay, Alice. On the count of 3. 1, 2, 3!"

He took his hands off of my eyes to reveal that we were standing on the stage. In Madison Square Garden. And a Steinway grand piano was sitting right in front of me. I couldn't help but get overwhelmed. I almost burst into tears. I ran straight to the piano and knelt next to it. I ran my hands over the newly polished black wood, and basked in it's beauty. I completely forgot anyone else was there. I pretty much melted onto the floor and leaned up against the piano ever so gently. I closed my eyes.

"Wow. She uh, she really likes pianos, doesn't she. This is... I've never seen anyone react to a piano like this before," I heard Harry say. "You have no idea," Kat said back to him. "Alice- Alice are you gonna get up?" Kat asked. "Oh god you guys. Hey I'm really sorry haha, I'm just really overwhelmed," I said with tomato red cheeks. "No, no don't apologize, it's cool," Zayn, one of the other bandmates had said to me. "So are you going to play for us yet?" Louis finally said. I felt the red color coming back to my cheeks.  "Um, yeah, I guess if you want! What kind of song would you like to hear? Ballad, uptempo, midtempo, you know what kind of song are you in the mood for?" I asked to Louis. "Why don't you just play us anything you want, love. I'm sure anything is great," Liam, the other bandmate said. "Uh, okay! If it's alright with you guys, I'll play one ballad and one uptempo. Is that okay?" I asked. "Yes, yes it's fine, Alice. Now play!" Louis ordered.

I sat down and laid my hands on the keys. I took a deep breath, closed my eyes, and started to sing. What have I got to lose? I might as well give it my best shot.  At first, I was hesitant, my voice was a bit shaky, and my piano playing was a bit soft. But as I came to the first chorus, I really got into it. I really sang my heart out. I finished playing the first song, and opened my eyes.

All the boys, and even Kat, who had heard my songs a million times, started clapping. I was blushing like mad. Louis came and sat down on the piano bench next to me. "Alice, that was amazing. Like honestly, that was really good." "Says the ultra famous pop star who is the one actually playing here," I said to him. "Listen, Alice, you should be playing here. You're really talented. You should be the one," Louis said with the most honest eyes I've ever seen. "Louis, thank you so much, that's really, really sweet." We just sat there for a moment and looked at each other.

"Kat, you're a really talented dancer," Harry said in a fake sentimental tone."Oh Harry, thank you so much. That's really, really sweet," they grabbed each others hands and looked dramatically into each others eyes. Their mocking imitation of us was, I'm not going to lie, pretty funny. Louis and I both looked away and blushed. I laughed awkwardly. "Shut the hell up Harry," Louis muttered under his breath. Harry and Kat both laughed.

I stood up. "What about the other song?" Louis said. "Eager to hear it, are we now?" I said back in a sassy tone. "Hell yeah!" He replied. "Thanks, but I think I'm done for the night," I told him. "Don't act so dissapointed Lou," Harry said. "Shut up Harry!" Louis said to him. We all laughed.

I walked over to Kat. "So how was your tour of Madison Square Garden with Harry?" I asked. "It was great," Kat said with a sarcastic tone.

"Kat you promised you would teach me how to dance!" Harry said. "You promised him that you would teach him to dance? Oh this should be good," I said to Kat. "Yes, I promised. I have a feeling I'm going to regret this, but Alice, hit me up with a waltz," Kat said. "Sure thing, girly," I said. I went over to the piano and started playing this really cute, romantic waltz song I had written for them. I watched Kate struggle with Harry. This was hilarious. But it was also kind of surreal. To see how well we got on with these guys, even though we've just met them. Or how much they seem to trust us.  I was pulled out of my thoughts whe finally Kat just yelled, "Okay stop!" I stopped playing. "This is hopeless," Kat muttered. "Hey! I'm not that bad! Alice, was I really that bad?" Harry asked me, hoping I would take his side. "Sorry Harry," I said. He gasped and put his hand over his chest and stormed off as if he were in a soap opera. "This guy," Kat said, gesturing to Harry.

"Wow, okay it's almost nine and we've got class in the morning," Kat said. "Class? Wait, how old are you guys?" Louis asked with a slight hint of concern in his voice. "Haha we're both 18. We're freshmen at NYU, actually," I told him. "Oh really? That's super cool! Well since you guys have got school I'm assuming you probably have to get going," Louis said with what sounded to me like a hint of dissapointment in his voice. "Yeah, we should. It was amazing getting to meet you guys tonight," Kat said. "Well before you leave, don't forget to give me your number," Louis said to me. He received a few 'ooohh's from around the room. "Oh yeah? Well, maybe you'll get it sometime. You know we've only just met, Louis," I said to him. I received some "OH" 's. Yeah, I felt pretty cool having just come up with my sassy remark. "Well how can I get to know you better if I don't have your number?" Louis questioned.

I grabbed my things and Kat and started to make my way out. "Well, if you decide you want my number, meet me outside of the Bobst Library at NYU at midnight tomorrow. Then we'll talk," I told him right as I slipped out of the building.
