Chapter 7
Pain. White hot pain was all he felt when he woke up. Hidan shot up with a scream only to have his mouth stuffed with a rag and be pushed back down roughly. "Shut. Up." A very familiar voice hissed from above him. "I don't need you damaging my ears again with your screams. How fucking idiotic can you be to take of her mask?!"
His reply was muffled, but his partner could clearly make out some very colorful words thrown in his direction. Kakuzu merely rolled his eyes and purposefully tightened the bandage around his head just to spite Hidan. The muffled yell he received was worth the slight added pain in his ears. The moment his partner finished, Hidan jumped off the table and, after stumbling for a moment, ripped the rag out of his mouth. "What the fuck man?!"
"Quiet!" Hidan yelled for the second time as his skull met the hard rock of the infirmary wall. "My ears hurt enough thanks to you. What the hell were you thinking, baka?!"
"I was curious. How the hell was I supposed to know this would happen?! It's not like the bitch comes with a warning sign!" He retorted whilst rubbing the back of his head.
"She warned you! She told you to give it back, but no, you just had to be a fucking dumb-ass. She tossed Itachi around like a damn toy and you thought, 'Oh, I'll take off her mask', and nearly got us all killed. I knew you were stupid, but this is a whole new level of stupidity."
"Fuck off, money bags!" Hidan flipped him off and left the room. He had to dodge almost every other member on his way out to the exit. The glares thrown his way could scare off an entire army with their intensity. He was almost to the door when he was shoved against the wall by a very angry Uchiha. He had to blink a few times to make sure that was what he was truly seeing. Itachi was never visibly mad, much less furious like he was now. "Da'fuck you want Uchiha?!"
"This is all your fucking fault! You may be immortal, but we aren't. I barely made it out when I fault her and she was just playing around. You took off her mask and made her nearly kill us all!"
"Not. My. Problem." The albino pushed Itachi away and escaped outside before anyone else could stop him. What he didn't expect was to see the cause of everyone's pain leaning against a tree directly across from him. The question was, how did she even get outside? No one has shown her the door yet-oh, that's how. His train of thought had been halted by a flash of blonde hair further off in the distance.
"I know you're standing there." A soft voice reached his ears and his eyes snapped to Lillith, whom had her eyes closed. "I can smell the blood on you. Plus, you're very loud when you walk. You must be horrible at low profile missions." Her golden eyes opened to meet his lavender ones.
"I prefer mass destruction and chaos, not sneaking around."
"Right. You've made that clear by throwing her life away and reaching for my mask. Honestly, you're not supposed to be alive right now." She pushed off the tree and walked up to stand in front of him. She barely reached his shoulders.
"I'm immortal. I've told you this before."
"That's impossible. You're just a human."
"Impossible?!" Oh, she hit a nerve there. "I am immortal thanks to my god, Jashin. I pray and make sacrifices to him and in return he grants me immortality as long as I remain faithful to him. That is my religion!"
"Wait-Jashin? Ruler of chaos, right?" She snickered. "You've got to be kidding me. He's no god, just a demon with parlor tricks. I've met him before and fought with him on several occasions. Please tell me you don't worship that man."
