I shouldn't review ritual CreepyPastas since in my opinion they're all the same, but I do kinda like this story.
Score: 90/100
Summery: How to play hide and seek alone is a Japanese ritual to play hide and seek with a spirit.
How to play
(It's been a while since I read this so it might be a bit sketchy)
You will need:
1 childhood doll
A sharp object
String
Sewing equipment
Your own blood
Salt water
A hiding place
A name
Something else I forgot
1 start at 3am and be home alone, turn off all the lights and name the doll
2 cut open the doll and take out some stuffing
3 place your own blood inside and some string
4 sew the doll back up and use your sharp object to stab it
The rest is in the storyReview: It's sort of like Bloody Mary where you know it's not real but you're too afraid to do it in the case that it might be real. For me the first listening to it it gave me this feeling of dread, like something bad was gonna happen. And it did leave an impact on me. I like stories like these, it's a simple urban legend tale that truly makes you feel tempted to do it. And unlike the others it's not too popular (like me). Great story to tell with your friends during a sleep-over. However I might be nit-picking about how the whole doll thing is kind've a cheat. I feel as if haunted dolls are too overrated in the horror genre. Good story though.
