Summery: A little boy named Billy is going to kindergarten and on his first day does finger painting, he loves the activity and he always uses one color. But things turn dark when he keeps coming him with new paint. And it's the only one he prefers.
Review: First off, HIGHLY predictable ending. It sort of kills the build up when we already know the pay-off the second we read the start. You could probably guessed it by the summery but despite that it does have an unsettling feel around it all. The fact that a little boy, five year old to be exact enjoys his "paint" and mysteriously get more. And it does give you a slight chill thinking about it. But it seems that the secondary character, the mother is not very fleshed out as much, neither is the boy. The author tries but it just becomes filler so the story could be longer. I would have preferred if it took place in her point of view and the atmosphere could be much more mysterious and messed up. Still the story is decent in my mind and if you want a good scary story with an unexpected and brilliant twist, you probably won't like this one. The story does end on a creepy note and piece of dialogue.

👍👎 it all depends on how you see it.
Finger paint is a predicable story with no creativity but offers creepy atmosphere and startling tone.
