NEXT DAY,

My family decided to live early in the morning. None asked me anything so far. But I'm damn sure. My mom and rocky's mom would've said something. They made sure to not to let me and nila talk. They kept each of us busy.

I noticed everything but waited for them to ploy.

Darsh, it's been a long time you have come home. Please come along with us. Mom said. Everyone were taken aback by her request while I smirked.

Ma, what are you talking? Sister in law, will be upset if he comes uninformed.  Dhruv said.

Shut up, I know what I'm doing. Mom retorted.

You will come with me right, dear. Mom held my hand.

What are you trying to do, mom? I questioned her. I've been observing each and everyone from the time you entered our home.

She is not your home, Darsh. Mom retorted.

Why not, mom?  She is my divine love. The serenity and peace I feel when I am with her is priceless. she is my HOME, mom.
Nobody can change that. Every breathe I live is for her. Only HER. I can't articulate my love in mere words because its beyond that. I huffed.

So, you don't care about us, me, I'm your mom, damn it. Am I not your responsibility? Mom asked.

Each of you are important to me, mom but not more than her. She has given up on her entirely family just for me. Even now if I ask her to Come with me, she will just come without asking. That's the trust and love she has on me. She walked out of her house at midnight just in the fear of losing me. She is my top priority, mom. And you should be dad's priority. You're dad's responsibility, mom and she is mine. please understand that.

Dhruv clapped and whistled making others giggle.  Dad patted my shoulder while Grandpa had a proud look. Arjun's parents and Rocky's parents also smiled. What surprised me was rocky's mom smiled at me. She has always been nice to me but when it comes to srinila, She never appreciated us.

I nodded acknowledging everyone.
Let's leave, grandpa said. I bid bye to all and returned home.

SRINILA

The moment he bid bye, my heart thudded rapidly. I knew what I'm feeling is baseless. But I couldn't help. I'm a girl longing for attention, love, care and respect. However, I want something else too, to be prioritised. In childhood, I've been the centre of attention to my parents however, due to the changes in life, everyone had their own priority. Now my mother has her own family to prioritise. I know she worries about me too but the priority has changed. Not at all blaming her, she gave me the purpose to build my own family.

I've craved for my family. Where I would be loved by my husband till my last breath, I would be the centre of attention to my children and a kind daughter in law to the in laws. A happy family.
Perhaps, the fear darsh's mom dug in me is deeper. Yes, I didn't know how but she did have a great impact on me. I don't wanna tell this to darsh and make him upset. I don't wanna put him in a predicament to choose either me or his family. Because, if at all he chooses his family I will be shattered. That's the only reason I didn't wanna do that.

Its been an hour, slowly my mind occupied with the negative thoughts. As the ticked I convinced that he was gone. I smiled bitterly. Everyone have their own priority. A drop of tear escaped my eyes.

Suddenly, the burst open. He stood there in all his glory. With the same usual smirk and spark.

Poiduvean nenachiya? He asked.

Tears rushed down the cheeks yet he managed to bring smile on my face. I ran to his arms , he hugged me tight and kicked the door and latched it. he carried me to our bedroom and pinned me to the wall. Without warning, he kissed me hard. he held the nape of my neck and dug his tongue in my mouth.

We parted away when we ran out of breathe.

We smiled and attached our forehead. I wish I could freeze this moment.
