"Well, now that you did it. What do you want to do for the rest of the day?" I asked him.
"Do you want to go for a ride?" He asks mischievously. Before I can answer, he scoops me up and throws me over his shoulder.
"Put me down." I scream. I hear my friends shriek as their mates do the same.
"Austin." I say threateningly. When he doesn't reply, I set my hand on his back and it grows hotter and hotter.
We reach a clearing just as his short bursts on fire.
"Ah sh-" he starts.
"Austin." I interrupt. I make a grabbing motion with my hand and the fire gets sucked right back in.
"Why are we here?" Aaliyah complains.
"We'll be right back." Austin says. "Don't even think of running."
"You wouldn't get far anyway." Lance says. "Nothing is faster than a werewolf." They run off a bit into the woods.
"Mutts." I groan. I fall back and the air cushions me until I land on the ground. My friends sit next to me, and we chatter aimlessly for a few minutes.
I hear a low growl from behind me and I jump to my feet, startled. Behind me is Austin in wolf form.
"You jerk." I say, and swat his shoulder. "You scared me." His lips pull back in a wolfy smile. He jerks his head backward, indicating that he wants me to climb on.
I glance at him doubtfully.
"Dude, you are taller than me." I say, gesturing to his 6 foot wolf body towering over my 5 foot 6 one.
He snorted and lowered himself so that he was lying on the ground, so that he was now only 3 feet.
I clambered onto his back with no difficulty, using the air to help me up. Austin realized what I did and growled.
"So gullible." I laugh. He snorts and stands up just a little to fast, causing me to grip onto his golden fur to stay on his back. He yelped and I grinned in satisfaction.
"Next time be more careful." I lectured. He shook his head and I could hear a slight murmur in my head.
"She's so annoying. I can't hate her though. Of course she's my mate." I gasped and almost fell of his back myself.
"I-I just heard your thoughts." I stammered. He looked at me in surprise, then he nodded slightly.
"It's the mate bond. You can hear my thoughts. Only in wolf form." He tells me.
I hear a short bark, and look over to Alex. He throws his head towards the woods. Austin nodded.
"Hold tight." Lucas said. I wrapped my hands in his warm fur and he shot forward.
My grip on his fur tightened, and I leaned forward so that the wind wouldn't be blowing straight into my face.
I turned my head so that the left side of my face was flat against his back, and I could see the trees fly by.
I thought I saw figures flit in between the trees, but I quickly dismissed it. I relaxed and released my tight grip on his fur.
After a few minutes of running, we reach a huge tree. It is slightly bent over, but I winds and has many branches.
Austin lays down and I slide off his back. He runs into the woods and shifts back.
He and his friends come back, dressed in the same clothes.
"Welcome to our hideaway." Jacob says, slinging his arm over Bethany's shoulders.
"A tree?" Asks Talyn disbelievingly.
"A tree she calls it. A tree." Lance exclaims dramatically. He puts his hand over his heart and gasps. "I cannot believe it."
"Oh shut up." Sarah complains and pushes him.
"This, is not just a tree." Marcus says seriously. He grabs Talyn's hand and pulls her toward the base of the tree.
"Come on." Austin whispers in my ear. I walk forward with him and he grabs my hips.
"What-" I begin before I'm interrupted by him tossing me in the air. I scream and use the wind to support myself.
"I could've done that myself you know." I call down to him.
"Oh I know." He laughs. I gasp in outrage. Once the rest of my friends are up, the boys climb up the tree with surprising ease.
"Come on." Lance calls impatiently. We sigh and begin to climb. Well, Aaliyah and Bethany climb. Talyn and I use the air while Sarah makes the tree catch her and toss her up.
We reach the top and see a treehouse.
"Woah." I say. It's incredible. It is a regular treehouse, just way bigger. Inside is a tv, couches, even a mini fridge.
"How?" I ask Austin, pointing to the fridge.
"Lots and lots of extension cords." He says.
"Let's watch a movie. How about World War Z." Alex suggests.
"Nope." I shake my head.
"Then what do you guys want to watch?" Marcus complains.
I glance at my friends and see them smiling slightly. We exchange looks and return our gazes to the boys.
"They say I'm trouble, they say I'm bad. They say I'm evil, and that makes me glad." Sarah starts.
"A dirty no good, down to the bone, your worst nightmare, can't take me home." Talyn continues.
"So what I got some mischief, in my blood. Can you blame me I never got no love." Bethany smiles.
"They think I'm callous, a low life hood. I feel so useless, misunderstood." Aaliyah grins.
"Mirror mirror on the wall. Who's the baddest of them all. Welcome to my wicked world. Wicked world." I finish. The boys stare at us in shock.
"Oh no. We are not watching Descendants." Marcus decides.
"Well to bad for you." I say. I make some vines wrap around his ankles and use the air to pluck the remote from his grasp. "Because five elemental a can beat five mutts any day."
"Whatever." They scoff.
"We already beat five mosquitoes." Bethany counters.
"Yes, and we declare a rematch." Says a husky voice.
"I just wanted to watch my movie." I whine.
