Illusion's POV

I saw the most beautiful mare today. She was at the farmer's market in downtown Ponyville. My friend Fluttershy needed some cheese for her pet mice but was too busy to get it, so I offered to buy her some. She thanked me, and I was on my way. After I exited her house and began following her path that was decorated with flowers and mushrooms, I came around a bend. There were tons of drooling mares watching me as I hurried past them. Unfortunately with my looks, they followed me everywhere. For some reason I'm like a mare magnet. Wherever I go, I just seem to attract more mares.

Eventually I made it to the market and began searching for a stand that might sell cheese.
However it was impossible because all these ponies were swooning over me and swarming around me. God dammit, I sighed when I was so close to a cheese stand and then five more mares came into view. I finally managed to shove my way through the crowd, and I rest a hoof on the table. My eyes skimmed over the table looking for a cheese that mice probably liked. Pepper jack was too spicy, mozzarella was just weird, Brie was too gross, but then, aha! Smoked cheddar! I was about to purchase it when I turned around to see mom's chariot flying towards me. I looked down at the crowd, and that's when I saw her.

She was staring at me too, and I admired her horns. They resembled mine in a way. And her eyes were just stunning. But really it was her face that attracted me. I was about to step forward when the chariot landed and everypony immediately bowed. Everypony except for her.

"Illusion!" Mom cried. "Oh goodness that's where you are. Discord and I have been worried. What are you doing here?"

"I, well, I wanted some cheese."

She gave me a questioning look. "Cheese? Illusion, but that's pet food. It isn't for ponies!"

I turned to the mare that I fancied. I was very embarrassed. She snickered and everypony looked at her. She immediately closed her mouth.

"And who are you?" Celestia asked, turning to her. "You look almost like Illusion!"

"I'm Crystal Clarity, the daughter of Spike and Rarity," she said rather confidently. Crystal Clarity. That was such a lovely name.

"Ah yes. I've heard of you. You're quite pretty!"
"Thank you!"
"Yeah, you are," I agreed. I meant it, and I smiled when she blushed. Of course the annoying mares that had been following me around for the past hour, were not amused.

Then I climbed in to the chariot, eager to get away from them. I turned to Crystal hoping she was still watching, but she had her head down, and a pink pony with poofy hair was speaking to her. I hoped it was because Crystal was sad to see me go, but those kind of hopes only come true in romances.

We began to shoot up into the sky, and I watched Crystal for as long as I could through the chariot window until she turned into a tiny purple speck and disappeared beneath the clouds. Suddenly, dad appeared next to mom but he was studying me.

"Illusion," he grinned. "Have your eye on somepony special?" Dad sat up and stroked his beard. "I recall when I use to feel something for Fluttershy."

"Gross oh my gosh dad! Fluttershy is my friend. What the hell?!"

"One can never tell with Discord," Mom teased. Five minutes later the chariot landed and two guards escorted me out. One of them happened to be my good friend Flashsentry.

"Hey dude!" I said.

"Hey, Illusion. What are you doing today? I was thinking of joining Twilight at Pinkiepie's party tonight! Wanna come?"

"Nah."

"Alright. You sure? Twilight said Pinkie is going to introduce her and I to somepony named KirstalClaritee."

Illusion's ears perked up. "Crystal Clarity? Yeah, actually I'll come."

"Sweet."
