“Ahhh, you’re awake!” I hear someone say. It’s Jason.
The world is fuzzy as I open my eyes. Dim figures float around the room. I blink. I’m no longer in a cave. Instead, the walls are smooth and the room is square. A creeper lurks in the corner.
“Creeper...” I mumble.
Jason laughs. “We are Herobrine’s army. Creepers follow Herobrine too.” He lifts me up. “Come on. Walk.”
I stumble towards an opening that appears to be an exit. The world spins with every step. “Hurry.” Jason says. “He is waiting.” He pokes me in the back with the end of his sword.
Soon the hallway widens, and instead of being lit by torches, redstone lamps are set in the walls. Another boy about Jason’s age approaches, and as i watch him i see that his eyes are empty and white. As he passes me he brushes my shoulder and he is icy cold, colder than Jason, as if he was dead.
The air begins to grow cold, and more and more mobs appear ahead. I look at Jason and he rolls his eyes at me.
Almost like he doesn’t hate me.
Are you kidding me? He definately wants me dead, I think.
But there is no time, for I am stumbling down stairs into a huge room. Pillars of bedrock soar up to the far ceiling. The only lights are redstone lamps, casting a reddish glow upon the grey bedrock. In the center there is a raised platform with one single ender chest on it. Hmmm... That’s weird. I would have thought there would be a chair or something.
Jason lets go of my arm and approaches the platform. He kneels and places his blue sword on the steps. “I’m back. I have her. I was right.”
I hear a sigh. “I hate it when you are right, Jason,” says a voice. That can’t be Herobrine. He sounds not much older than me.
“I know,” says Jason. He laughs. “Shall I just kill her now?”
“No... I think that would be... Unnecessary.”
“Yes.” says Jason. “Quite.”
“If you guys are gonna kill me, could you just HURRY UP and stop talking about me like I’m not here?” I yell.
Suddenly I hear footsteps. A boy, not much older than me, walks out from behind a pillar. His eyes glow white like the boy in the tunnel, only much brighter. He has a strange smile.
“You’re younger than I expected.” I say.
Jason and Herobrine both roll their eyes. “What did you expect? Did you expect me to be Notch or something?” They both laugh.
Suddenly I realize something. Jason left the sword on the platform. I’m between him and the platform. Holy Notch. This might work.
“And Jason,” says Herobrine, “You’ve failed again. Look at her.”
“What?”
“Her bow, you moron.”
“Oh.” He pulls the bow off my shoulders, but I spin around as he pulls it off. I grab an arrow and whack him across the face with it. Then I sprint to the platform and grab his sword.
Then I run at Herobrine, which turns out to be a BIG mistake because he’s way too strong for a fifteen or so year old kid. He draws his own blue sword and knocks my sword aside. I swing again. Oh my Notch, I suck at this. Our swords meet, and blue light blazes from the center. I am inches from the sword, and he is much stronger than me.
“Hahaha. You are funny.” He pushes me away and I fall backwards onto the stone floor. He rushes me, and i deflect his sword and roll out of the way.
“YAHHH!” and I charge again. This time he swings and knocks the sword out of my hand. His sword grazes my shoulder, and suddenly my vision goes blurry again and I fall down. There’s something weird about his sword. It glows with a strange light. He kicks my sword away and walks over, brandishing the blade. I try to stand up but I’m still really dizzy.
I try to push myself away. I am going to die now... I think. I remember the first time I thought that, and then Enderman saved me. Now, no one could.
I back into a pillar. Herobrine stands over me, his eyes glowing brighter than before, and cold air surrounding him.
“Don’t you wish you had never come here, Emme?”
Emme. That’s my name. Apparently. But it sounds right. I don’t know why. Hmmm. I guess, deep down, I know that it’s right. And it’s good to know one’s name before one dies, I suppose.
“I didn’t choose to.” I say shakily.
“Yes, you did. You may not remember. But you did.” He raises the sword.
And then, he brings it down and I close my eyes.
~Is it the end?~
