11. what now?

Rowan's POV

I brought my shaky hand up to the door as I nervously chewed on my lip.
I was ready to tell Uriah about the kiss scene, hoping he wouldn't blow up.

I knocked on the door twice. Only seconds later, I could hear footsteps approaching to answer the door. The door opened, revealing the guy I loved.

"Hey Rowboat. You didn't tell me you were coming." Uriah said, smiling, as we hugged.

"Yeah, well I had something kind of important to tell you." I said.

"Oh, okay. Well, come on in." He said, opening the door wider.

I walked over to the leather couch, as I always did when I came to his home. I loved his house, it had kind of a cabin feel to it, the walls being made of wood, and most of the furniture being brown, black, or silver.

Uriah walked over to the kitchen, grabbing a mug and some mix to make some hot chocolate.

"You want anything to drink?" He asked. I nodded my head no.

"Alright, so what did you want to tell me?" He said, setting down his mug on the black marble coffee table nearby and plopped himself on the couch.

"Um, so. As you know, we're filming that episode, Girl Meets New Kid, this coming week, right?" I said, taking shaky breaths and playing with the ends of my beige wool sweater. Uriah nodded.

"Well, as it turns out, um," I closed my eyes for a minute, trying to organize how I should tell him.

"Rowan, are you okay? Do you need some water or something?" Uriah asked with worried eyes.

"Peyton and I have a kiss scene." I blurted out, opening my eyes in fear of how he would react.

He didn't say anything for a while, and just stared at me with no emotion in his eyes.

Uriah's POV

I couldn't find the words to come out. All these emotions were running inside of me. But most of all, I could feel the fear of losing her to Peyton. Then, it was like a switch flipped inside of me. Anger rushed through my blood.

"What?!" I yelled, standing up. "You two have a kiss scene?"

"Uriah, calm down-" Rowan said, trying to get me to sit back down.

"No! You want me to calm down? What, you expected me to be all happy and fine about the fact that you are going to kiss another guy?" I said.

"Well, I thought we could-" Rowan started again.

"Rowan, do you know how powerful a kiss is? You may not have feelings for him now but when you lock lips, something could ignite in you. You'll grow feelings for him, but you won't tell me, because you're too scared of losing me as a friend. But then those feelings will grow stronger, and then you'll dump me and I will just break."
I said. I couldn't control these words, it's like the just poured out of my mouth.

"After all, that's what happened with you and me." I said, the words forcing themselves out of my mouth. I didn't know what happened with me, something took over my mind. I saw the tears that had begun forming in Rowan's eyes, as I realized what I had just said.

Rowan's POV

"After all, that's what happened with you and me." I felt tears sting my eyes as the words came out of his mouth. I could see the anger in his eyes change from anger to realization of what he had stated.

"Rowan, I didn't mean tha-" He started.

"No, I got that loud and clear. You think that I don't like you for your personality? You think this whole relationship is based off a kiss?" I said standing up to become face to face with him.

"No, I don't mean th-" Uriah stammered. The tears were now streaming down my face, and I was unable to control it. It was like the gates just opened, and the floods of tears that threatened to fall were now free.

"If that's how you feel about this, then maybe we should just break up."

Uriah's POV (yeah, i know that was a pretty quick POV change sorry)

I stood in shock, as I watched the girl I have fallen hopelessly in love with storm out of my house. I tried to go after her, but it was as if my feet were glued to the floor.

Rowan, the girl I have crushed on ever since we met, the girl who gave me a chance, we were over.
