<That night of the party>

Luke's P. O. V.
Today was the day of Arabella's ballet dance thing. I was waiting to greet her backstage before I took my seat. A few seconds later, she came over to me.

"Hey Lukey!" She nicknamed me. I kinda like it. She threw her arms around my neck and I embraced her.

"Hey yourself, you look stunning. You ready to kill it out there?" I asked her.

She nodded her head but for some reason I didn't believe her. "You're gonna kill it princess, know why?"

"Why?" She whispered. I stepped closer to her, mere inches from her face.

"Because you're the prettiest and most talented swan in this room." I told her. She laughed at that, but nodded in understanding.

"Thanks Luke, I needed to hear that." She smiled up at me.

"Miss Whitmore, you're up." A lady with a microphone attached to her face said.

Arabella turned to me with a red face. "Luke, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't nervous." She panted.

I pulled her to me and looked her in the eyes. "Hey, you know what you need?"

Before she could question me any further, I leaned down a gave her a passionate kiss on the lips. She stood on her toes to get a better angle before pulling away.

"Was that my good luck?" She asked breathlessly. I winked at her before her instructor came to get her.

I made it back to my seat in time to see Arabella hit the stage. She looked like she belonged with the Angels in heaven, dancing to their music instead. That sounded weird, because then she'd have to be dead. She did her famous leap in the air and came down as if she floated on air. She had the biggest smile on her face when she did that twirl, and I'm sure I was part of the reason for it. She caught my attention and this time she sent me a wink. I laughed a little at her before she did her signature bow as she finished her dance. I was the first to stand up and the other people around me were looking at me all weird, but soon after they joined in. We made it back to my car afterwards and Arabella asked if we could go get something to eat, but I had something better plan.

"I have a surprise for you, princess." I told her with a grin on my face.

Her face lit up at me. "Really? What is it?" She asked regardless of the fact that I said it was a surprise.

"Darling, a surprise." I reminded her and she swatted my arm playfully.

We made it to my car and made our way to her surprise. She kept urging me to tell her what it was, but I refused. Minutes later, we arrived at an exquisite restaurant in the heart of the town.

"Oh my word, Luke." She said in amazement. I chuckled at her reaction.

"Wait, you haven't seen the surprise yet." I told her as we got out of the car.

"Luke, I feel underdressed." She confessed. She was wearing her ballerina clothes with my trench coat over her figure.

"Babe, you look hot." I told her with a wink. She blushed and grabbed my hand as we walked inside.

A man greeted us with a smile. "Can I help you?" He asked.

"Yes, I made reservations for two under the name Hemmings." I told the man.

He nodded and checked his computer behind the counter and smiled brightly at us.

"Right this way please." He showed us to a table with two chairs and the perfect lighting.

Arabella and I both sat down and waited for our menus. A waiter greeted us with our menus.

"Here are your menu's, can I assist you in any appetizers or shall I present you with your full course meal?" He asked with a friendly smile.

"What do you prefer, it's your night." I said to Arabella. She looked off guard at my statement.

"Oh, well can we have drinks first and you can come back to take our order for our meals." The guy nodded and took our drink orders.

"I'll be back shortly." He said and left.

Arabella reached over and squeezed my hand in hers. "Thank you so much, Lukey. This means so much to me that you would do this."

I looked into her eyes and saw that they were glossy. "Anything for you, babe."

Arabella's P. O. V.
We were done with dinner and Luke and I went back to school. It was already dark out and he felt the need to bring me 'home' safely, which I thought was very cute. My roommate was out for the night, as always, and I had the room to myself.

"Hey, would you like to come up to my room since my roommate is out for the night? We could watch a movie?" I asked him.

"Sure, I'm down." He said and followed me to my dorm.

When we got there, it was empty as expected. I told Luke he could find a movie for us while I freshen up for the night. I threw on my pjs and joined Luke as soon as the movie started.

"What is it?" I asked softly.

He placed his arm around me as pulled me closer to lay on his chest.

"It's called Hercules." He said, not taking his eyes off the screen.

"Oh." I said since I've never watched it.

We were perched on my bed with the laptop in the middle of us as the cool air conditioning breeze blew over us. We watched the movie from starting to finish and I have to admit it was good, but that's because I'm a fan of Dwayne Johnson. After the credits came up, I looked over to Luke to find him asleep. He made soft noises as he breathed in and out. I couldn't help but smile at how adorable he looked right now, but I, myself was tired. I turned the laptop off and called it a night as I snuggled next to Luke and shut my eyes.
