Luke's P. O. V🏀
"I can't believe today is the day. It's almost like a new life." My mom exaggerated. We were both standing in front of my new college. The one I could care less about.
"Mom chill." I told her. She was too excited and that bothered me. "You seem happy to see me go.." I confessed. She turned to look up at me with sadness in her eyes.
"That's nonsense Lucas. Of course I'm sad, it's just...." I knew but I said nothing. "Promise me you'll do your best?" She asked in a sad tone.
"Yeah, sure. I have to go. See ya." And with that I left. Left her standing there with tears in her eyes only to be quickly wiped away. I didn't even looked back at my own mother, I'm such a mess.
I made it to admissions desk and got my schedule. Great, I had to choose an elective of sports. They had basketball on here, that, I could live with. After gathering my stuff, I noticed the first thing I had to do was get unpacked. I hated that. I got my dorm room key and number, and left the office. Room 211. I hoped my roommate was cool enough or we'd have a problem. I stopped for a while to take a look at my map and noticed I had to pass the Ballet lab. Gross. I passed the football field, tennis court, and of course the basketball court. Sweet! I couldn't wait to try out. I hurried on my way to my dorm, passing the Ballet lab. As I walked through, I noticed a lot of hot college ballerinas swaying to the music. But before I could move along, a certain ballerina caught my full attention. She was just.... Beautiful. She had long brunette hair tied in a ponytail. Her legs were those of Beyoncé. She didn't see me looking but I wasn't planning on being caught. I decided to hurry away and leave, but I was getting her number.
Arabella's P. O. V💃🏼
I was in my zone, just relaxing with the feel of the music. I moved in yesterday and automatically joined ballet when I found out they had it here. I was absolutely happy and living in the moment. I joined the ballet group the minute I auditioned. This college was huge let alone beautiful. Okay maybe I was being a little too dramatic, but you've got to be here to see and witness it. As far as the guys go, there were a few hotties but none stood out. Class was over, but today was just tryouts for the newbies. It was still moving day for me, I had a lot of time to get used to this college life. I gathered my things after my ballet teacher gave a long speech, and headed back to my dorm. It was hot outside and I yanked off my sweater and tied it around my waist. When I arrived at my dorm room, there was a flyer on the door. It was about a party. Apparently it was going to be the best and huge party ever thrown by some guy named Ashton. Didn't matter to me, I hated parties and I refused to get sidetracked. Why can't people just do work and party when college was done.
"Hey roomie!" My annoying roommate, Taylor said as soon as I walked through the door. Our room was divided into two, of course. Her stuff on the left, mines on the right closest to the bathroom.
"Hey Tay, what's up?" I asked even though I didn't really care. It's not that I don't like her, she was just too nosy. She wanted to know who I was on the phone with whenever I was on the phone. She once went through my text messages just to see who I was texting. Sad right?
"Nothing much, you going to that party that Ashton's throwing? And if you are, who are you going with?" Like I said, she's very nosy.
"Taylor, you know I'm no party girl, which I'm okay with, but no I'm not going." I told her with a smile.
She shrugged. "Figured. Well I'm going. You know this has to be a hot party since it's the first one thrown."
I grabbed my toiletries and headed for the bathroom. "Yup, you're probably right."
"Well I have to go, George is waiting for me outside campus. Bye!" That was another thing I hated about her. She worshipped this so called George and he shows her no kind of affection. At least not in public. He was rude and loud and feigned attention.
I poked my head out of the bathroom door after taking my shower, and sighed when I realized I was alone. I quickly dried off and threw on my pajamas, grabbed my notebooks and began studying for a test for next week. I know, what a nerd. But I didn't care, I had to keep my grades on top as always. I sneaked a glance at the clock to see it was only 3:45pm. Maybe a little Starbucks would be nice. With that being thought of, I grabbed my sweater, still in my pajamas, and left my dorm.
