9:30 am.
Luke's P. O. V.
"Luke! Lukey! Wake up!" I heard someone yelling at me but I was supposed to be dreaming. I opened my eyes to reveal a very upset Arabella.
"I'm up, sorry." My voice was groggy so I had to clear it. "Time is it?"
"Time for class for the both of us! We have chemistry today." She said in a hurried voice. "And Taylor will be here soon." She added.
"Ari, chill will ya?" She gave me a mad face before rushing for the bathroom. "And whose Taylor?"
" My roommate? I'll meet you at class since you have to go back to your dorm and get your stuff." She shouted from inside the bathroom.
"Okay, cool. See you then." I said before leaving her room. "Gosh, I slept great." I said to myself.
I arrived at my room in time to take to a quick shower and threw on a Led Zeppelin sleeveless shirt and dark skinnies. I shoved my feet into my vans and grabbed my chemistry utensils. I made it to class in time to see Arabella with two cups of coffee in her hands. When I stepped closer to her, she handed me a cup.
I gave her a kiss on the cheeks. "Thanks babe."
She frowned at me before saying, "I don't like that name, call me something else."
I stuffed my hands in my pockets before slowly nodding. "Okay, baby?"
She shook her head and frown deeper. "Something cute and adorable."
I narrowed my eyes at her. "You're kidding."
"No, I'm not. What's so bad about giving me a cute nickname Luke?" She snapped.
"The fact that I never asked you to be my girlfriend!" I said and walked around her and into the class. I knew I hit rock bottom with those words and she was going to feel bad about it, but it was still true.
I reached my seat and pulled out my stuff for class as Arabella approached at my side. She had a mad expression on her face rather than the sad one I was hoping for. Class went on regularly except when we had to share utensils, there were no speaking. I was cool with that as long as she didn't start crying. Soon after, class was put and Arabella was the first to exit the room.
"Hey, where you running off so fast?" I asked her as I caught up with her. She turned to face me with a mad face.
"Away from you!" She said and turned again to leave.
"Why, because I wouldn't put a name tag on you?" I shouted.
She spun around and walked over to me, in my face. "Don't contact me in any way ever again. Since I'm not worthy of being your girlfriend, then I too won't be your friend." She said as her voice cracked. "And FYI, I didn't care about the name thing, it's what you said."
I didn't know what I said would hurt her, then again she's a female. They get emotional. "Ari I didn't mean it, I'm sorry."
"It's Arabella to you Lucas." She said and left me standing there alone. I felt like crap more than I could explain.
I headed straight to basketball practice with a crabby attitude and a crappy feeling inside. I wasn't even shooting like I normally did and coach had to pull me aside a few times to get it right. Eventually, though, I got it right. After practice was over, I grabbed my things as I placed my phone to my ear in hopes that Arabella would pick up. She didn't. So, with my ego bruised, I went back to my dorm room and lie down in my bed thinking of a way to get her attention.
Arabella's P. O. V.
I'm not a dog, you don't put name tags on humans. Right? Anyway, I was done for today and it was not my best practice. I kept falling over my own two feet, which never happens. Luke. I felt bad but at the same time he really hurt my feelings. I wasn't eager for a stupid nickname, that's not important, buy I was hurt and upset because he was right. He never did asked me to be his girlfriend, and it seemed like he didn't care. Did he? When I reached to grab my bag, my phone fell out onto the chair. I grabbed it and checked the screen to see I had two missed calls from Luke and a text message. I opened the text to see what he wrote.
'I'm sorry baby doll, I didn't mean to say what I did. I hope you could forgive me.' -Lukey.
I blushed at the name he absentmindedly used, it was so cute. I collected my things as I dialed his number back but he didn't pick up. I sighed and headed back to my dorm to find Taylor and her boyfriend in a make out session on the couch.
"Hey!" She said as she surfaced for air. "Are you staying, cause we can leave." She said.
I shook my head at her. "No, it's okay. I have to go somewhere anyways. I'll just take a quick shower and be gone." I said as I headed for the bathroom with my clean clothes in hand.
After I was done and dressed, I headed out the door. I decided I would go to Luke's and apologize for my behavior, mainly I just wanted to get away from my roommate and her poor excuse of a boyfriend. When I arrived at his room, I knocked once. The door opened but it wasn't Luke.
"Who're you?" The girl behind the door asked. It took all my might not to reply, 'I should be asking you that.' But instead I replied with, "I'm Arabella. Luke's, uh, friend?"
"Well, that's good. Did you come for something?" She asked with an attitude.
"Arabella?" I turned around to see Luke standing behind me with a frown as he looked from me to the girl. "What are you doing here?"
"I was just leaving-"
"No, wait! I want to talk to you." He said. "Maya what are you doing here?" He asked with a roll of his eyes.
Maya snickered and opened the door to step out. She had so much tattoos on her body that I thought that her arms were sleeves. "Your mom dropped me off so here I am. But I'm leaving now, have to go meet with my fiancé. Nice meeting you Arabella." She said. "I had to use your shower since mines broke. Bye." And she was gone.
That went ... Unexpected. I turned to face Luke and saw that he was already watching me. "I'm sorry about earlier, I didn't mean to be prissy at all. I'm sorry."
He didn't say a word but he was in front of me in seconds as he cupped my face and kissed me passionately. I leaned into him as our lips connected in harmony. He finally let go to speak. "I want you to be my girlfriend, okay?"
I laughed at how ironic it sounded. "Okay, I'm in." He laughed before pecking me again.
"Let's go get something to eat, I'm starving." He announced as he gabbed my hand and pulled me along with him.
I chuckled softly at him. "You're always hungry." I noticed. "By the way, I liked the nickname you gave me through your text."
He looked over at me with a smirk. "Whatever you say baby doll."
