Five: Rainfall, Competition, Truth

"Seiji, want to go out?" Tsukasa sets down his work journal, and looks at me.

I roamed my eyes to the wooden clock hanging on the wall. It was nearly midnight, and rain was pouring hard outside.

"It's raining."

"So?" He smiles. "I love the rain. I need the rain."

"Well...sure. Let me go find an umbrella."

"No. I don't want one. You can have it for yourself."

"But you will get sick."

He chuckles. "Don't care. I just want to be in the rain." He gets up, and fetches his car keys, and an umbrella that was in the holder. He tosses the umbrella to me, and I caught it before it slapped me on the face.

======

Tsukasa brought me to the mountain cliff. We always sat at the edge, admiring the sky. It was pouring rain tonight. The sky wasn't beautiful at all. I had an umbrella over me while Tsukasa embraced the rainfall.

"Feels so wonderful. One day I want my company to be named 'Rain' ah yes."

"Why?"

"It just sounds so exotic, and beautiful. Of course the title 'Rain' is too simple for my taste. Maybe I'll spell it different. Like add an E to the end of it."

"Sounds good." I chuckled.

"Maybe. Just maybe it will work. I hate the name 'Crane' so much. I can't believe Takumi will name our business that."

"Just change when you get the chance." I slapped his back.

"I will. I want you to help me expand this company okay?" He looks at me intensely.

"Of course. I promise." I felt the rain pouring harder. For that moment, I dropped the umbrella on the ground purposely. I wanted to feel the rain. It felt so relaxing yet cold, and bitter.

======

"Seiji, can you get me that file on my desk?" Tsukasa asked as he fixes his office desk. The drawer was crooked, so he wanted to fix the alignment. He was so clumsy, but funny.

I went to fetch his files, and placed them on his main office desk. "Here you go. Maybe you should invest in one big desk rather than multiple small ones." I suggested.

"No. Too much money now. I have to save up. Why don't yo-" he drops the drawer, and held his head.

I ran towards him. "Are you okay?!"

"Yes. I just suddenly had a spiking headache. I haven't slept properly. I've been too worried about our competition across the street." He takes me, and pulls me to the window. "Check it out." He points to the fancy glass building across the street. There was another cosmetic company. More like a small shop across. I could tell it was targeted towards women because of the excessive amounts of pink revolving around the building.

"Why not just sell men's cosmetics. That way they will go to you if they personally need men things. Get it?"

"Seiji you aren't smart. We have to sell both men, and women cosmetics so they will come over here regardless of gender." He shakes his head. "You still have much to learn."

"Gee sorry." I looked down. "I am still balancing school, and all the regular kid stuff."

"You aren't a kid." He laughs, and rubs my back. "Go on, and go on dates. I will be here."

"Alright." I looked down at my watch. I did have a date with Kare in an hour. Best be early. "I will be home late."

"Gotcha. Go on. She is awaiting you." He chuckles.
