𝓣he moment they stepped inside Grimmauld Place, the air grew heavier, clinging damp and cold to their skin. Shadows draped themselves over every surface, twisting in the corners and stretching long down the narrow hallway. The walls, lined with peeling, once-elegant wallpaper, seemed to lean inward, listening with malicious intent. Sconces flickered weakly, casting warped and shivering light that made the portraits on the walls appear to move. The scent of old wood, dust, and something faintly rotten lingered in the air, settling deep into their lungs.

Molly immediately sprang into action, her voice brisk and firm despite the exhaustion in her eyes. "Shoes off, bags to the side! Fred, George, don't drop those on the floor-you'll wake up the-"

RIIIIP!

Heavy curtains were yanked back with a force that rattled the frame, and a split second later, a piercing screech tore through the silence, raw and vengeful.

"FILTHY BLOOD TRAITORS! VILE, UNWORTHY SCUM-"

Olympia's breath hitched at the sheer venom in the voice, sharp enough to leave invisible cuts. The portrait loomed large and furious, dark eyes wild and unblinking, the woman's mouth stretched wide as she hurled slurs that dripped with hate. Each of the Weasleys flinched, shoulders drawing inward, jaws clenched tight. Ginny's face went pale, her eyes fixed firmly on the floorboards, while Ron's hands curled into tight fists at his sides, knuckles white.
