a week later

This was it .. I couldn't believe it. Here I am thinking that it's false contractions and then my water breaks. Thank God Rayan decided to stay with me tonight. If I was alone I might've went crazy. The pain was excruciating and I was definitely not doing this the natural way. Fuck that! I wasn't due for another two weeks but I wasn't even tripping about it.

I sighed loudly, 3hours later and I'm still not fully dilated. Only two people were here with me and that was Rayan and my Nana. King hasn't gotten here yet even though I've called and texted him multiple times. But hey I ain't bugging over it. My blood pressure was already high and my stress level was even higher .. if he missed the birth of his son, then that was just on him.

" I can't wait until this is all over. " I mumbled.

" Just a little while longer and he'll be here. " Rayan replied, grabbing onto my hand.

I smiled. I hoped so.

" So how you been Mr. Family Man? " Yasmine asked.

Remember Yasmine? I ran into her the other day and we just been kicking it. Nothing serious though were just friends and that's how it's gone continue. Maybe.

" I been good. Chilling and making this money. " I replied.

" Where wifey at and does she know you here? " She asked.

I laughed. " Why you always gotta bring her up though. And her ass better be home. "

" She better be home? Yo ass ain't even home. " She replied.

" I do what I want. Now shut the fuck up, you blowing my high. "

" You know. I missed you King. " She said, climbing onto my lap.

" Is that right? What you miss? " I asked, smirking.

" I can show you better than I could tell you. "

I watched her as she dropped to her knees and unbuckled my pants. Pulling my dick out, she spit on her hands before jerking it up and down. I threw my head back, exhaling the smoke.

My phone vibrated, pulling me from my thoughts. I reached down and picked it up .. instead of being Lola like I expected it. It was Rayan.

" Wassup. " I said.

" King where the hell you at? Lola been calling you for hours. "

I sighed. " I'm chilling. What she want? "

" She's in labor. Get your ass down to this fucking hospital now. " He said before hanging up.

I rubbed a hand over my face and pushed Yasmine off me, standing up.

" Where you going? " She asked, as I stuffed my dick back in.

" Don't worry bout all that. I'll call you later or some shit. " I replied walking out.

I was happy to finally be meeting my son .. I couldn't wait. I hopped out of the car and headed inside, walking to the receptionist desk. I asked what room Lola was in and once she gave it to me .. I headed to my destination.

I knocked on the door lightly before walking in. Lola was laying on the bed looking tired as hell .. standing on the side of her was Rayan and sitting in one of the chairs were my grandma. She didn't look to happy seeing me. Oh boy.

" Were gonna let you guys talk. We'll be in the hallway. " Rayan said, before they walked out.

I bent down and kissed her forehead. " You good? "

" I would be better once he decides to come out. " She replied. " Your reaking with marijuana right now. "

I sighed. " I was smoking earlier. "

" You didn't think to change before coming or spraying some perfume on? Your not holding my child, smelling like that. " She mumbled.

" Be thankful I came. Seeing as I was in the middle of something. " I said back.

" Trust me. You don't have to be here at all. I just thought it would be smart for you to see your first child born. "

I shook my head sitting in one of the chairs. I wasn't about to argue with her about dumb shit.

" So how are they? " Nana asked.

I sighed. " I don't wanna speak for either of them, but Lola's been really stressed out over him. That might be why she's in labor a few weeks earlier. "

" I don't think King's mature enough for this. Time apart right now would be good. "

" I said the same thing. And if there meant to be they'll come back to one another. I just think they need to do what's best for the baby right now. Lola's my bestfriend and has been for years, I just wanna see her happy. " I said sadly.

Lola's honestly been a wreck this past week. I mean she says she doesn't wanna be with King right now and I believe her. I also believe that it's breaking her heart not to be with him. She needs to know that her and the baby's happiness comes before anything.

" I'm gonna talk to them both of them. Especially King and hopefully I knock some sense into that boy's head. " She replied.

Finally after 7 hours I was now about to meet my little Prince. I was happy and nervous at the same time .. all I wanted was a healthy baby and I didn't need anything going wrong.

He was finally here. Holding him in my arms for the first time, nothing else mattered to me at the moment. He was a gorgeous baby and looked like a mixture of King and I .. with a head full of hair.

His cry was very powerful when they pulled him out. That's all I listened to hear was his cry, to let me know that he was fine.

Right now in the room were only King, the baby and me. Rayan and my Nana left after they spent another hour or so with us. They would be back ina few hours.

" He's beautiful. " King whispered.

" I know right. Looking just like his mama. " I laughed.

" Psh. Yeah right. I think he looks more like me. " He replied.

I smiled. " I'll let you think that. "

After a while the nursery had to come and take him, but they assured he was coming back. I missed him already and I was so glad he was finally out. Now just a few more days in this hospital and we could go back home.

I was now back in my room alone seeing as King left. He got a call and just like that he was gone. I didn't question it though, because as long as I had my baby I was good. I was more complete then ever. Tonight I was definitely going to sleep with a smile on my face .. it's been a while since that happend.
