Elijah's POV

Well this is going well. I think to myself sarcastically.

I'm sitting at the outcasts table because Malia wouldn't let me take her anywhere else and every person here is staring at me like any moment I'm going to jump up and hold them at gun point.

I actually can't really blame them. I'm known for being the badboy. The guy that doesn't give a shit about anything. The player.
The funny part is that I've never been expelled or suspended (sure I've been in a few fights but nothing really serious), I have fairly good grades (well at least I'm passing), I have an okay job that I plan on keeping until I get a better offer, and this may come as an extreme shocker to everyone but I have never done the deed, never popped the cherry, never satisfied my teen needs. However you want to put it you know what I mean.

Yes, yes, I know. A sexy hunk like me never doing what we guys do best. Unimaginable right? Well, I've known since I was a child that one day I would find my soulmate. That there was one person that was meant for me and only me.
I could never bring myself to betray him or her (I ain't hatin no one for who they love and people like that don't bother me. They are who they are and they have as much right as we heteros do. Plus our mates could be absolutely anyone.)

I look around the table and everyone's silently eating except for Berry and Malia. Their smiling and talking to one another.
Well Berry's talking and Malia's writing back.
I'm starting to get really annoyed because she's paying more attention to him then me.

I tap her on the shoulder to get her attention and she holds her hand up to Berry to tell him to hold on then turns to me.

"Sooo... Mind if I keep you to myself for a bit?" I ask with my best smile.
She rolls her eyes and writes something in her journal and shows it to Berry.

When he reads it he laughs and nods his head.

She turns back to me with eyebrows raised in question.

"Are you going to eat?" I ask

She shakes her head and I frown.
Why isn't she eating? She needs to eat.

"Why not?"

She just shrugs her shoulders and writes something on a new page in her journal.

When she's done she shows it to me

-Are we playing twenty questions? Because if so I want to ask some too.

I smile because this is the perfect chance to get to know her better. "Yeah. We'll take turns. You can go now."

-Why is everyone glancing at us in a mixture of shock, annoyance, suspicion, jealousy, and confusion?

I laugh and look around the cafeteria to see some people trying to conspicuously glance at us and others openly gawk.
"I would say because I'm just that sexy" she rolls her eyes and I continue "but to be honest it's because I'm seen as the badboy and loner in this school so I'm not usually in the cafeteria especially with the outcast bunch." at that last remark a few people at the table turn and glare at me.

"Alright my turn. What's your full name?"

She looks shocked for a little while then writes down her answer.

-Malia Blu Winters

I smile and say the name outloud.

-So why are you in the cafeteria talking to me if your not usually here?

"I want to get to know you."
She gives me an are you serious?? Look.

"As serious as a terrorist. You seem... Different. And I think it could turn out pretty interesting if we became friends." then eventually more than friends. Way more.
