Malia's POV

Hmmmmm...

What to think...

I'm honestly drawing a blank.

I'm his mate...

I stare at him and he watches me closely. I tilt my head to the right and look him up and down. Well as much as I can since I'm sitting on his lap.

He shifts slightly uncomfortably.

He looks at me expectantly.

"You're not going to say anything?" He asks desperately and then he realizes what he said and groans.

"Sorry never mind. I don't know why I said that." He cringes and smack his head.

I smile and cover my mouth to try and hide a laugh.

He sighs "Sooo..."

I smile and hover my hand over his mouth again before rolling my hand and skipping over a space trying to tell him we'll talk again later in a way he'll understand.

He seems to be trying to figure it out then he gets the whole light bulb above his head and he nods.
"Can I at least ask if you're okay with it?" He says hopefully.

I think about it and I automatically want to say yes I'm okay with it but my brain stops me and asks if it's okay to love someone after not even one full day of knowing them.

I decide to just shrug but when I see his face fall and I look into his sad puppy dog eyes I feel an extreme amount of guilt and hug him again and kiss his cheek trying to reassure him.

He sighs in relief and hugs me back.

I pull away to point to the trees and make a walking motion with my fingers.

"Yeah my house isn't too far and you can borrow some of my moms clothes. We better hurry before you catch a cold with those soaked clothes." He says and pulls us both up.

I've never gotten the cold before. In fact I've never been sick before. I would tell him that so he wouldn't worry but I can't so I just follow his lead and walk through the woods.

Elijah keeps me close to his side and constantly glances around. We arrive at an average sized house at the edge of the woods. The house looks nice and homey. Nothing extravagant just comfortable.

Its also pretty isolated and is surrounded by tall beautiful trees.

Oh my God he lives in my dream house!

I look everywhere in amazement and he chuckles.
"Like it?"

I nod enthusiastically and remembering that my camera is still strapped around my neck I pick it up and show it to him asking permission to take some photos.

Never been so glad it's waterproof.

He laughs and nods but pulls me towards the entrance.
"you can take as many pictures as you want After you change and shower."

I sigh but nod and he unlocks the door and leads me to a room upstairs.

Its covered in flowery wallpaper but it's not that ugly kind so it looks nice, kind of vintage I guess. There's a regular sized bed and a large dresser with a mirror.
Elijah walks over to the closet and opens the shutter looking doors.
He digs through it then hands me a small dress that's such a light pink that it's almost white and a folded towel.

"Thats one of her older dresses. I hope it fits. Sorry that I don't have any other options." He shrugs apologetically and I shake my head and sign thank you.
