She taps me lightly on my back and I pull away so I can see her.
She holds up her thumb asking if I'm good now.
I nod and she nods back and sits criss cross in front of me.She touches her mouth then reaches over and hovers over mine.
"You want me to talk?"She nods her head and I sigh
"I'm a werewolf." She nods encouragingly and I go on."I'm an alpha but I don't have a pack. My mom left because my dad had died in an attack and she was human and didn't like the new alpha so she decided it would be better to raise me on her own."
"We have been on our own since but then you showed up."
She lifts an eyebrow and I smile and take her hand. "Every werewolf has another half. It's like that Greek myth that humans were originally created with four legs four arms and a head with two faces. Do you remember that?" She hesitantly nods.
"In the myth Zeus split them up so we each look the way we do now. But he also split their soul so that for the rest of their life they have to search for their other half. Our soul mate." She nods again slowly.
I gently pull her closer and onto my lap as I continue talking.
"Thats what werewolves do. We search for our other halves. The ones that make us whole. Our mate. The one that makes us stronger. Faster. Smarter. Better." She eyes me hesitantly as I pull her fully on top of me."Malia." She raises an eyebrow in question.
"You're my mate."
