"She looks like a pink toad..." I thought aloud, causing Draco to snort. I wad receiving glares and insults every which way, but the vodka in my water bottle helped ignore it.
Professor Dolores Umbridge looked my way, a sweet, venomous smile on her face.
"Detention, Miss Delicrass" she grinned, causing most of the others to laugh. I glared at her. "Is it even allowed to give detention during the welcome back feast?" I whispered to Draco.
He shrugged. "Damn it!" I groaned, leaning on him to hold me up.
He chuckled, softly letting hid fingers brush over my neck as hr moved part of my hair. I tried to hide the shaky breath.Soon, we were ushered away from the great hall. "Ugh... I don't want to walk all the way up to the Gryffindor Common Room" I whined to myself.
"What happened to your board?" He asks. I fell silent. "He broke it over my back" I whispered. He joined my silence.
"Your staying in my dorm tonight!" He said out of the blue. I opened my mouth to reply, but was cut off by the familiar, horrific screeching of a fork on a chalkboard.
My stuff was violently shoved out of my hands. "What the hell, Parkinson?!" Draco spat, bending down to grab my stuff.
"Ah, going to his room tonight, slut? Tell me, have you seen any monsters today?" She sneered. I rolled my eyes, "Not unless you count yourself as one, no" I jeered. Her minion, Milicent Bulstrode, stepped forward threateningly.
"Hey! Every one calm down!" Draco stepped between us. "I'm calm" I whispered, causing him to step hesitantly out of the way. "Lets go" I spat, grabbing Draco's arm and turning away. "Oh! Running away! Huh? Running away to mommy, eh? Oh, wait, silly me! Your mothers dead!" Her shrill shriek followed me.
I sucked in a breath, whipping around to see the letter in her hands. It was the letter my mother gave me. "Trying to keep it a secret, Delicrass? Oh, well..." she teased, dangling the parchment in front of her. I slowly raised a hand, stepping forward.
"Pansy, don't" I heard Draco try.
"Oh... is it important to your precious little girlfriend? In that case... oops" It all seemed like slow motion. My mother's letter lay torn in half on the ground.I let out a shout, but it seemed far off and distant. Still seeming dizzy and slow, I glanced at my fist.
I swung it forward, thrown back into the real world.Parkinson was on the ground, blood pouring out of her nose. Anger... it literally consumed me. I straddled her, grabbing her collar with one hand, forcing her to look me in the eye.
I drew back my fist again, bringing it down so hard that my knuckles split. Again and again, I watched as blood and bruises cascaded onto her once pale cheeks. People were trying to pry me off her, bit I couldn't stop.
I couldn't hear them. It was just me, watching and beating her as she pleaded for mercy.
I wonder if this is how my father feels everytime he beats me. I finally understand hoe someone can be so hostile that they yearn to see the fear in their victims eyes.
I stood up, forcing her to follow by gripping her hair. Without hesitation, I brought her head towards the wall at an alarming speed. She groaned as she slid down the wall, leaving a trail of blood down the bricks. "Look me in the eye" I whispered, gripping her arms. She cried out, trying to wiggle free.
Another surge of anger. I shoved her to the ground, once again straddling her. I pulled out my wand, holding it to her throat. "I said look me in the eye!" I screamed. She sobbed, struggling.
You know the spell... one simple spell, cause her the pain she deserves! Say it, say it. You can end this right now... do it, Teresa.
I slowly got to my feet, stepping away from her. She was nothing but a bloody, bruised, and pathetic lump on the floor.
Again, I was brought back to reality. I glanced down at my fist. It was covered in blood, just like my fathers. What scared me was that I didn't care.
I felt someone pin me against the wall. It was a mortified looking Draco. Students surrounded us, the same look of horror on their faces. I gulped, and then roughly was jerked away from him, only to be dragged down the hall by furious looking professor's.
I kicked and tried to get out of their grip, suddenly full of fear. I spared a glance at Draco, he had the letter pieced together in his hands, tears gathering in his eyes. I gasped, shaking my head violently. He can't read that.
