I let out a grunt of pain as the fist collided with my jaw. "You useless slut" my fathers voice rang through my dorm. Of course he had put the silenco charm on my dorm... No one can hear my cries of pain. No one can hear my pleas for mercy. No one can hear his threats and insults that hurt just as much as the pain of his fists and belt colliding with my skin.I can tell he's getting even angrier because I wasn't crying. But I wouldn't let myself satisfy him. "Do you know how bad you made me look yesterday?! Huh!" He spat, standing over me as I cradled my knees in a corner, blood trickling down my forehead. My lip split. And the fear in my eyes...
He enjoyed every bit of this. "Do you know how bad you make yourself look by not giving mum a funeral?" I dared, looking him in the eye. I let out a screech as he grabbed my hair, roughly shoving me into the wall, letting me fall to my knees after.
I felt warm blood trickle down the back of my head, causing me to groan. I stayed there, waiting minutes after I heard him exit the room. I actually stayed for longer than that. I just sat there in silence. I ignored the tapping on my window, not honestly caring. "Go away, Iona" I begged, figuring its my owl.
The tapping continued, but I just ignored it. I was terrified and shocked when the window opened, revealing Draco Malfoy. Holding a broom... I hastily shrunk further into the corner as he dropped his broom and rushed forward. "Oh Merlin!" He gasped, gently grabbing my chin.
"You can't tell anyone" I begged. He didn't answer me, just softly enveloped me in his arms. I felt tears rolling down my cheeks, and Draco softly picking me up and sitting me on the bed.
I don't know why I let him, but I didn't fight back as he used a wet rag to softly clean the blood. I met his grey eyes for a second. "You can't tell anyone" I repeated. He, again, didn't reply.
I flinched when he grabbed my chin, though his grip was so soft. I found myself watching his face. He has a very strong jaw line, and very soft skin. I gulped and looked down.
I looked at my arms, which are already black and blue. "Why'd he do this?" He asked, holding me in his arms as I cried. I couldn't think of anything to say, so I just stayed silent. I sat in his arms completely at my own will, that's an odd story to tell later on...I got up sniveling, and wiped my eyes. "Draco, listen to me, you cannot tell anyone! Understood!" I said sternly. He stared at me for a moment, then began leaning in. I gulped, that feeling came back, the one I felt during the dance lesson, and the one from last night. He was so close that we were practically touching noses.
"Why not?" He asked in barely a whisper. "I'm begging you" I said. He got even closer, and I felt his hot breath on my neck. "Understood" he said simply, pulling away."You should go" I told him. He obeyed, grabbing his broom and leaving out the window.
I grunted, hauling myself to my drawer, and grabbing a bottle of firewhisky. I grinned as the bitter sweet liquid touched my lips, and slid down my throat, leaving hot burns. I took another large swig, propping myself against a wall.
"Mama, I'm living the good life" I chuckled, getting a bit of a buzz after finishing the first bottle. Completely unhesitant, I grabbed another from the drawer. "How's your adventure?! Huh! Living a good life up there!" I found myself shouting, lucky the silenco charm is still on.
Normally, I don't get drunk, I can drink bottle after bottle and not become buzzed. But this time, I opened up to it with open arms. I launched my now empty bottle at the wall, watching the glass shatter. I took another large swig.
"Your just perfect up there aren't you!! And there's me down here, getting beat!! In fact, you were always perfect! You never let him hit my sister or you, so where were you when I got hit?!" I screamed.
