Mark Twain once said, "Too much of anything is bad, but too much good whiskey is barely enough." That is how I tend to view women, the girls who dress, act and talk the same, "the basics", I like to call them are too much. That being said, there are barely enough genuine women. You can tell a lot about a person based on what they choose to order at a bar. Me, personally will sip my cares away with a Jameson neat or two. I like the way whiskey tastes, the taste is an acquired taste. The texture, the aged flavor and the essence of the oakwood barrel it is stored in is just so pleasurably overwhelming. I've acquired a taste for neat Whiskey over the years. I started mixing my whiskey with coke, then I moved to drinking Manhattans, then I diluted it a bit with water, then I finally built up the courage for on the rocks and then I realized I had done it all wrong and I needed it neat. Back to my point about knowing a lot about the person based on what liquor they choose. A lot of women choose the fruity drink with the umbrella or a drink so high in sugar content it should be illegal. By the end of the night you see those girls in tears with their hair tied up not being able to leave the toilet because they can't hold their liquor. But, what about the women who drink the hard stuff? The stuff "for the men"? As a bartender I feel i have the best job in the world. I get to experience a whole different breed of people "the buzzed" and "the intoxicated". I get to serve the 40 year old man who's going through a divorce and wants to drown out his sorrows or the newly legal 21 year old sorority princess who just wants to have a good time. I get to listen to people's best and worst stories and sometimes offer up advice. All in all I have the best job. I own my own bar. But I really want to be a soul music star. I mainly own the bar to meet people to help follow my dreams but also I enjoy social hour.
