Crisp, clean, fresh water poured over raven hair, droplets falling over already wet, salty skin. Sweaty palms picked up a cotton scented white towel and wrapped it around the back of a dampened neck. Dehydrated lips met the rim of a plastic bottle, a soothing liquid stimulating the taste buds, sending natural relief around the body.
A pair of wandering eyes stopped as a mirror came into their view, drawing attention to the toned body of a young man. Most men probably would've smiled victoriously at the sight, though this man was different.
A monster, that was what he saw. A terrifying monster that enjoyed tormenting him day after day, night after night, week after week. It was worse than the Boogeyman.
Much worse.
A single clenched fist met fragile glass, causing it to shatter. Cracks lined the mirror, cutting the young man's reflection in half. Red liquid oozed from the now injured knuckle, falling onto the wooden floor the man was standing on, tiny blood pools forming as each drop fell.
Drip...drip...drip...
