There's More To The Human Race, More Than They Could Ever Know

"No, no, no, no!" Hiro shook his head, his hair going left and right quicker than you could say potato. "There's no way, you're just messing with us!"

"We'd never lie to anyone, Hiro. We're telling the truth, you have to believe us! We're mutants too!"

"Then how?! How do you act so...so-" Hiro shouted, he couldn't understand what was going on.

"Hush, man! Don't let Cass hear!" Wasabi scolded Hiro. "If she finds out she'll call the authorities! Do you want that to happen? These guys could be our potential friends and if they get carted off to some military base then it will be our fault!"

"You're right, Wasabi." he took a deep breath, relaxing. "If you guys are mutants, prove it."

"We would..." Zach seemed pretty hesitant; dragging the word "would" as he spoke.

"But we can't, not right now that is." Danika finished for him. "We can't show our powers in broad daylight, if we do..."

"Then you'll be hunted down and taken to a lab...Darn, i'm really sorry for overreacting like that. If i'd known-"

"No, it's okay. We know how difficult this must be for you all to take in, especially in such a small amount of time. But we would never hurt anybody with our powers, ever."

"What about Sunny, huh?" Go Go crossed her legs and then folded her arms. "He burnt a guy's face."

"It's not his fault, Go Go." Honey Lemon tried to make her see sense. "Like Hiro said before, he must have got angry and lashed out."

"He tends to get like that," Danika explained. "He can't control his temper when stuff like that happens. He only wanted to make sure you was safe, Go Go, it's just an instinct he has. He can't help it."

Now Go Go was starting to reconsider what she thought about him. Maybe he wasn't so bad after all. He was just...misunderstood.

Maybe not all mutants where bad. Because the ones in front of her seemed like they wouldn't hurt a fly.

"I...darn. He did all that for someone like me, a girl he hadn't even gotten to know properly." she buried her face into her hands. "Maybe I shouldn't have...this is all my fault."

"None of this is your fault, Go Go. No one's to blame; it was just something that happened, you or Sunny didn't ask for someone to approach you and hold a knife to your throat. You didn't ask to be filmed either." Honey Lemon wrapped her arm around her.

"Yeah, it's okay." Fred smiled.

"Look, I know it might not be my place to say this. But maybe, maybe it would be a good idea if you just talked to Sunny again. Maybe you could get to understand him better. He's super nice, he won't bite ya! He's like the big brother of the gang!"

"The truth is...we know. You're a superhero team. The only reason we didn't say anything was so you wouldn't suspect us. We're sorry."

"Wait, so you knew?!" Hiro felt slightly betrayed, but he knew one day the secret life of himself and his friends would be discovered.

"WHY DIDN'T YOU SAY ANYTHING SOONER?! FOR ALL WE KNOW WE'RE GONNA GET THE FRICKIN' PAPARAZZI IN OUR FACES!"

"No! We haven't told anyone, we swear! The only reason we know is because...we saw you in action once. We didn't know your names until now, I only realised you where the same group of superheroes because the door to your garage was open when we walked by. We saw all the super suits and knew immediately, you really ought to shut the door when you're done using it. Don't wanna get your secret out, do you?"

Ted was right and Hiro couldn't help but agree to what he was saying. Go Go glared at the teen, which he responded with a nervous grin.

"You where amazing! Saving all of those school kids from a bus that was about to explode and defeating a bunch of bad guys! You're all so brave!"

"And you're super suits are pretty cool, I like your one, Speedy G, reminds me of Pokemon."

"Really? Pokemon? Of all things you had to choose Pokemon? Wow, I didn't realise you was an anime fan."

"I'm not actually, Ted and Zach are. I mean I like Death Note and Black Butler, but not all the stuff these two geeks like." Danika glanced at the nerds, who now where exploring the shelves where all of Hiro's action figures standed in height order.

Aspen finished brushing her teeth and applying her makeup. As she closed the cabinet, she noticed her reflection in the mirror and smiled in content. She looked gorgeous.

'You know you'd look so much prettier without the makeup, right?'

Sunny standing in the doorway gave the woman a little bit of a shock.

"Oh, oh thank goodness. It's just you. I thought it was a nasty ghoul or somethin'." Aspen sighed in relief, placing a hand on her heart to steady herself.

'Haha, who else would it be? Ted, Zach and Danika went out.'

Sunny leaned slightly against the side of the doorway, but ending up tumbling and hitting his head on one of the shelves.

"Oh my gosh! Are you alright?!"

Sunny rubbed the back of his head.

'I'm fine. Darn, I didn't expect it to hurt that much.'

Aspen giggled. "Come on you, why don't we go out into the city? Go to that café we used to go to all the time. You loved getting the pumpkin lattes from there, the smell of pumpkins always kept you calm."

'As long as we don't bring too much attention to ourselves, then I don't see why not. We used to love going to that cafe, and Miss Hamada hasn't seen us in a while. I hope she still remembers us.'

"No way! Dude! That. Sounds. AWESOME!"

Hiro was amazed by Zach and Ted's enthusiasm; it was like having two clones of Fred. He could see them as being potential friends, Danika too. But he didn't want to rush things just yet. He had to get to know them properly, what their quirks where and all that sort of stuff.

He just hoped he wouldn't be friend zoned by Danika first. His crush on her- no! His liking to her was growing bigger and bigger each time he saw her.

"Hello, I am Baymax. You're personal health care companion. I was alerted to your need of medical attention when you said "Ow". On a scale of one to ten, how would you rate your pain?"

Danika had got a splinter on her finger, which Hiro assumed was from one of the shelves. Curiosity must have got the better of her, but he didn't mind it.

"Hello, Baymax." Danika greeted. "Uh, i'd say about a three for the pain scale thing."

"You seem to have a slight irritation on your fore finger. Please turn your palm upwards."

Danika was skeptical but did what the bot requested. Then, she felt a slight twinge of pain before realising he had removed the tiny piece of wood.

"You have been a good girl, have a lollipop!" Baymax handed her a stick with the red candy on top. She took the wrapper off and put it in her mouth, revealing a gap in her teeth.

Just like Hiro's.

"No way! You got a gap just like mine!"

'Okay, now she's officially the definition of cute! A gap in her teeth, a total scene girl AND a nice butt! OH MY GO- THIS KEEPS GETTING BETTER AND BETTER!'

Go Go secretly smirked at the sight of her smaller friend, she "psh'd" and rolled her eyes, a tiny laugh escaping her lips.

'Someone's hormones are taking over. He's sooo got a crush on her, he just won't admit it.'
