The great hall of Rathore Mansion was still echoing with Aditya’s words.

KNIAM… she is KNIAM.

That name alone was enough to shake the entire business world. And the girl standing before them — sharp-eyed, beautiful, her chin raised in quiet defiance — was none other than Anchal Malhotra, the cousin Ishika had thought lost forever.

But tonight, the Rathores didn’t see just the famed business queen. They saw the broken child who had been abandoned, the lonely soul who had clawed her way through the world with nothing but her mind and willpower.

🌑 The Silent Tension

Abhimaan sat on the royal seat, his posture regal, his jaw clenched. Yuvraj stood near Ishika, torn between awe and confusion, while Ekansh’s eyes never left Anchal — a storm of protectiveness, anger, and something deeper in his gaze.

Anchal stood in the center, untouched by the grandeur of the palace, untouched even by the weight of their stares. She looked at Ishika once, then turned away, guarding her emotions like a fortress.

It was Ishika who broke the silence first.

“Anchu…” her voice trembled. “Why didn’t you tell me? Why didn’t you ever come back?”

Anchal’s eyes softened just for a second at her cousin’s pain. “Because I couldn’t, Ishi Di. Weakness has no place in this world. And you… you are my only weakness.”

Her words struck everyone.

⚔️ Anchal vs. Abhimaan

Abhimaan finally spoke, his deep voice rolling through the hall like thunder.
“You’ve carried this pain alone for years. Why?”

Anchal’s cold laugh echoed. “Because unlike you Rathores, I didn’t have a palace, brothers, loyal men. I had no one. I fought alone. I survived alone.”

Abhimaan’s dark eyes met hers. “And yet, you are here now. Saving my Ishika… my family.”

“Don’t mistake it,” she snapped. “I came for Ishi Di. Not for you. Not for this palace. You are still strangers to me.”

For a moment, silence fell. The helpers shrank back, afraid of Hukum’s anger.

But instead of fury, something else flickered in Abhimaan’s eyes — recognition. Loneliness. He had lived it too, in his own way, after his parents’ death.

He stood, walked toward her slowly, and placed a hand on her shoulder. She stiffened instantly, ready to push him away, but his voice was unexpectedly soft.

“You’re wrong, bacha.”

Everyone froze.

Abhimaan — the ruthless Hukum Sa — had just called someone bacha.

“You’re not alone anymore,” he said quietly. “From this moment, you are mine. My sister. My family. And no one, no one dares hurt what is mine.”

Anchal’s lips parted, her defenses wavering. No one had ever claimed her like that. No one had ever called her family. She turned her head away quickly, blinking back tears she didn’t want anyone to see.

🌸 Ishika’s Plea

Hours later, in Ishika’s chamber, the cousins sat together. Ishika held Anchal’s hand tight, refusing to let go.

“You’ll stay here, right Anchu?” she whispered. “You’ve suffered enough outside. This palace is your home too.”

Anchal shook her head firmly. “No, Ishi Di. I don’t belong here. My world is different. I can’t risk you being dragged into my storms.”

“But you are my family!” Ishika cried. “I lost you once, I can’t lose you again.”

Abhimaan entered quietly, overhearing. “She’s right, Anchal. You’ll stay here. With Ishika. With us.”

But Anchal straightened, her chin high. “Hukum Sa, you may command your kingdom, but not me. I am leaving tonight.”

Her defiance sparked the room.

Ishika clutched her hand tighter, tears brimming. “At least let me come with you!”

For the first time, Anchal’s cold mask cracked, and a broken smile tugged her lips. She cupped Ishika’s cheek tenderly. “You’ve finally found love, Di. Finally found people who treat you the way you deserve. I can’t take you away from this. I won’t.”

Her voice dropped, almost a whisper. “I know your heart would never agree to leave them. That’s why… I’ll leave instead.”

⚡ The Possessiveness of Ekansh

As Anchal rose to leave, Ekansh appeared at the doorway, his calm demeanor gone. His usually steady eyes burned with fire as he blocked her path.

“You’re not going anywhere.”

Anchal glared. “Move.”

He didn’t. His tall frame towered in front of her, his jaw clenched, his voice low but sharp. “Do you think you can walk in, save Ishika, shake all of our worlds, and just leave? Not happening.”

Anchal’s eyes narrowed. “I owe you nothing.”

“You don’t,” Ekansh admitted, his voice rough. “But I… I can’t let you go. Not after knowing what you’ve lived through. Not after seeing you bleed strength and pain like this.”

Her breath hitched slightly at his intensity, but she masked it with sarcasm. “What are you going to do, lock me here?”

“If I have to,” he growled.

Ishika gasped, and even Abhimaan’s brows rose at the possessiveness in his younger brother’s tone. Yuvraj glanced between them, wide-eyed, sensing something deeper unfolding.

Anchal crossed her arms, mocking. “You don’t even know me, and already you want to chain me.”

Ekansh stepped closer, his voice dropping to a near-whisper, his eyes burning into hers. “I don’t need to know everything. I just know… I can’t let you walk out of my life.”

For the first time, the ruthless mask on Anchal’s face wavered. A flicker of vulnerability passed through her eyes, quickly hidden. She shoved past him, her voice cutting.

“Don’t waste your emotions on me. I’m not worth it.”

But inside, her heart raced at the intensity of his words — words no one had ever spoken for her before.

🌙 Departure

By midnight, Anchal’s sleek car pulled up at the gates. Ishika held her hand till the very last moment.

“Promise me you’ll come back,” Ishika whispered desperately.

Anchal touched her forehead gently. “I promise nothing, Ishi Di. Promises break. But my love for you… that will never change.”

Abhimaan stood behind Ishika, his expression unreadable but his voice firm. “Remember this, bacha. Wherever you go, Rathore’s shadow will follow. You are family now.”

Anchal gave the faintest nod, her throat tight. She turned away quickly, not trusting herself to look back — not trusting herself to stay.

Her car disappeared into the night.

🔥 Aftermath

The palace felt colder without her. Ishika cried silently in Abhimaan’s arms, while Yuvraj sat quietly, murmuring, “She looked so lonely…”

Aditya’s sharp eyes lingered on the door, deep in thought. “She’ll be back. People like her… they are tied to fate.”

And Ekansh?

He stood at the balcony alone, his fists gripping the railing, his voice a low growl.

“She thinks she can leave… but she doesn’t know me yet. I’ll bring her back. Even if it means tearing down every wall she’s built around herself.”

The storm inside him had just begun.
