Chapter 10

Joesph P.O.V.

"Were going to the pool." David said when he walked into the room where Lee and I were discussing Beth and Netty.
"Why?" Lee asked.
"Cause your girlfriends are in there." David replied rolling his eyes and started to leave.
"She's not my girlfriend." Lee replied.
"Yeah, were just good friends." I said. David paused and looked back at me.
"Mate, do you really expect me to believe that? Good friends kiss and hold hands, I think not." David said leaving me to think. "Meet you guys there." Lee nodded to me and walked out.
Was she really mine to claim? Did she have other guys on her besides me? Does the kiss mean were a thing? All this questions are irritating me. I'm just going to the pool.

Beth P.O.V.

Joseph swam up right behind me as Netty swam away. I squealed in surprise.
"You scared me!" I laughed and placed my hands on his to make sure they stayed right where they were. Joseph shivered. "What's wrong Joe?" I asked.
"Cats, don't, like, water." He said in between fake shivers. I laughed.
"True, I guess ducks are just used to it. Want me to make cat like water?" I asked turning around and facing him.
"I don't know how you can-" I interrupted him by pushing my lips up against his. He immediately put his hans on my head. I ran my hands through his wet curls. His face was so close, I could smell the chlorine in his hair.

Joseph P.O.V.

She put her hands on mine which made me shiver.
"What's wrong Joe?" She asked. Caught red handed.
"Cats, don't, like, water." I explained and she laughed taking it.
"True, I guess ducks are just used to it. Want me to make cat like water?"
"I don't know if you can-" With that she pressed her lips up against mine. I felt fireworks fly through my body. I raised my hands from her back to her hair. I ran my hands through her locks as she did the same. Her touch made my heart giddy. This is how it feels when your in love right? We pulled apart Beth tried to speak, but I put my finger to her lips.
"Shh, cat likes water if he gets this every time he hops in." I whispered in her ear making her shiver a bit. I smiled and ran my hand down her arm. Should I ask her if she would be my girlfriend. Maybe, now or never?
