Chapter 11

Joesph P.O.V.

I was about to ask her out when I heard a scream. I looked around and saw Netty having a hand over her mouth and pointing to the diving board. Lee was just under it and starting to sink. That just gave me an idea of what happened. I swam as fast as I could over and grabbed Lee so he couldn't sink. I lifted him out of the water and put him on the edge of the pool.
"What happened?" Finn asked.
"I guess he wanted to show off. He jumped off the diving board and did a few flips, then he hit his head." Netty said shaking her head.
"That's Lee alright." David said.
"He probably has a concussion, but let's take him to the hospital just in case." I suggested.

Finn P.O.V.

I was courting Rosie when I heard a scream. My head snapped around to Lee under the diving board. I saw Joe swim to him and grab him. We all swam over to the edge of the pool where Joseph put Lee.
"What happened?" I asked.
"I guess he wanted to show off. He jumped off the diving board and did a few flips, then he hit his head." Netty said shaking her head.
"That's Lee alright." David said.
"He probably has a concussion, but let's take him to the hospital just in case." Joe said. We agreed and helped each other out of the water. We all agreed that half of us should go to the hospital and half should stay. Joe, Beth, Amy and David were staying and Rosie, Netty and I were going.

Netty P.O.V.

"I should have stopped him." I said my face in my hands as Rosie comforted me.
"You couldn't have, I know Lee, he would have done it anyway." Finn said. We were in the waiting room. Lee was in the ER.
"It's ok Netty." Rosie said rubbing my back.
"Are you three here for Lee Matode?" The nurse asked us.
"Yes." Netty said looking up.
"Well, here's the deal..."

Joseph P.O.V.

He'll be ok, concussion, as we thought, has to be careful with what he does. See you all tomorrow.
Finn texted me. I forwarded the text to Squid and decided to continue where I left off with Beth. I walked into her room.

Beth P.O.V.

I stared up at the celing and smiled thinking of Joseph. Just then I heard my door open. I sat up.
"Hey." Joseph waved.
"Hey." I smiled and sat up. He walked over and sat next to me. "Any news on Lee?" I asked.
"Yeah, he seams to be fine. The rest are going to stay overnight." Joe said and I felt him take my hand. I leaned on his shoulder. Then I felt a kiss pressed against my cheek. I smiled as my cheeks got hot. I loved him so much, but he would never feel the same. Then I remembered him saying while he went back to the restaurant that he loved me, he slipped it in so casually that I hadn't realized it before. He loves me.
"Beth?" Joseph's voice knocked me out of my daydream.
"Yeah? Sorry I wasn't listening." I said.
"It's ok. I really wasn't eather." I smiled as he brushed a piece of hair out of my face. I blushed and he took a deep breath.
