Chapter 13

Amy P.O.V.

I woke up in the hospital room. What had happened? Then it came back to me. The boom. The explosion, David and I running out of the pool only to be knocked down in the hallway. My memory stopped there, I must have blacked out. What happened to Beth and Joe? We're they safe? Where was David. I needed to ask my questions to someone, but the doctors seamed focused on the fact that I was awake. Soon enough Netty ran in.
"Netty what happened?" I asked.
"An explosion. A few streets away. The house is still standing. The windows are shattered, but the shockwave was enough to knock everyone out in a reasonable distance from it. You and David got lucky. You were in the hallway. Joe and Beth were in Beth's bedroom where the blast hit the hardest. Joe protected Beth, so Beth is less cut up than Joe." Netty explained. I gasped.
"Oh no! Are they ok?" Beth and David are, they both got slammed against the wall, and Joe got the worst end, he's in a coma. Beth is just knocked out right now."
"Oh my god." I gaped. "I hope they'll be ok." Just then Rosie ran in.
"Beth's up. I'll stay with Amy, you go. Finn's with David. Lee's under medical care right now." Rosie said.
"Tell me how she is!" I called to Netty as she ran out.
"I will!" She called back.

Beth P.O.V.

I woke up with excruciating pain in my sides. I groaned. What happened? Where was Joe? My eyes darted around the room, no one, I was alone. Something bad must have happened to me, or else I wouldn't be in this bad shape. Just as the doctors exited, Netty came rushing in.
"What's going on?" I asked rubbing my head and pulling my hand away in pain.
"There was an explosion a few streets away. Amy and David are fine, but Joe and you got the worst end. Joe protected you, and he hasn't woken up yet..." Netty explained. I gasped.
"Oh no!" I felt tears sting my eyes. The last thing I remembered was kissing Joe and then a boom. Then a nurse came in.
"Are you two related to Joseph Garret?" She asked.
"Yes, I'm his girlfriend and she's his best friend's girlfriend." I said gesturing to Netty. Her eyes widened at me knowing that I had to explain myself.
"Well, you see, Joseph is in a coma and we don't know when he will wake up..." I couldn't believe it. Joe might be dead, all because of me.
