5 - ''Good because i was about to cry back there.''

''Oh my god I'm going to bring home a penguin!''

''You like penguins too!?''

''Hell yeah I do!''

Luke and Rose high-fived each other. Laughing at their previous conversation. When Luke parked the car he told Rose to stay put, got out and ran to her side so he could hold her door open."Thank you Lucas." She giggled.

He held her hand tightly and made their way to the entrance. ''Two adult tickets please.'' Luke said sweetly. The woman smiled at him.

''That will be 15 dollars young man.''

Luke smiled as he pulled out his wallet from his back pocket. He let go of Rose's hand for second and handed the lady the money.

''There you go.''

She handed them the tickets in return. Rose thanked her and Luke grabbed her hand again. When they passed trough the gates there was a guy handing out maps. Rose wanted to go get one but Luke insisted that he knew the zoo like his back pocket.

To make a long story short Luke will still be Luke and they got lost. Nobody knew how they managed to get lost in the zoo. But unfortionally they did.

''I think I remember which way the souvenir shop is now!''

Luke said after looking around for a bit. They were stood by the Lemurs and Rose wasn't paying any attention to Luke.

''Hey buddy.'' she said when one of them approached her. He looked at her ''Yes you are a cutie.'' she added.

Luke was staring at her. Fondness taking over as Rose was having a conversation with the animal. He sneaked next to her and wrapped his arms around her waist so she was facing him. The action made her giggle like crazy.

''I'm really glad you came on this date with me.'' he said as he stared into her hazel eyes. They were glistering in the sunlight. She smiled widely at him and wrapped her arms around his neck. Standing in her tiptoes because he's a few feet taller than her.

''I like you Luke. You're different.'' she answered. He chuckled ''Really? How?''

''I actually don't know.''

Luke pouted and she gave him a quick peck on his lips. Shocked at her action they both let go of each other. Blushing and coughing like crazy.

''I- Uhm- Sorry.'' she said quickly. He shook his head. ''It's ok. I guess.'' People around them awed and that was when they noticed there was an audience.

"Thank you, thank you." Luke said. He was feeling flattered and he didn't really know why. Rose on the other hand felt really uncomfortable. She never just pecked someone out of nowhere. Unless she was dating someone. But her and Luke aren't actually 'dating'.

Yes, they are on a date right now but that doesn't mean anything. "Are you ok beauty?" He asked when he noticed something was up. She's been very distant from him and pulled away her hand each time he wanted to hold it.

She nodded but didn't make any eye contact. Tension began to form and Luke was noticing it.

"Rose are you su-"

"Yes. Luke."

She cut him off harshly.

"I'm sorry Lukey. I didn't mean it like that.'' He just shrugged as they kept on walking. There was an awkward silence for quite a while. Luke kept glancing at Rose while she just avoided all contact. He opened and closed his mouth a few times, signing deeply.

Suddenly Luke just jogged off leaving Rose somewhere near the Polar Bears.

''Great.'' She muttered and crossed her arms. She gazed at the creatures wandering around in their habitat. After about 5 minutes she heard ''Beauty!''.

When she turned around Luke was stood behind her on one knee with this huge plush penguin.

''Oh my gosh!''

She ran to him and he got up. ''I have no idea what just happened but I hope it's ok now.'' He said and handed her the penguin. ''Luke i- You-'' she didn't know what to say. Other then Luke who knew exactly what he wanted to say. ''So does this mean we'll go on another date?''

''I don't know Hemmings. You're kinda weird.'' She said playfully. ''I know you like me.'' Luke said and started tickling her, but she didn't flinch.

''What. Why are you not laughing?''

''I'm not ticklish.''

The rest of their time at the zoo was the same as how it started. They were having fun joking around and watching the animals.

They both kind of freaked out when they finally went to see the penguins. Rose kept on babbling about how bad she wanted one as a pet and Luke promised to get her one as soon as he could afford it.

Rose didn't think he meant it but Luke was dead serious.

''This was the most fun I've ever had. Thanks for taking me here. Also thanks for the penguin. I'll cherish it forever.''

Rose said when they got back to the car. Luke smiled and took her hand in his. ''I'm glad you had fun. And I'm glad you gave me a chance even after Ash said no.''

Rose stopped walking ''Luke..''

He gave her a confused look.

''I like you. Ash could never change that.''

''Good because I was about to cry back there.''

She giggled and kissed his cheek. This time she wasn't fazed at all. Luke returned the gesture and they got in the car. ''So where to now?''

''Could you take me home. I need to make sure Connor didn't burn the house down.''

Luke nodded and started the engine. The whole car ride Luke was singing and Rose was enjoying his voice. He was he really good singer in her opinion. Just like Michael and Ashton. Maybe they can sing together sometime? She thought. That would be amazing.

''No seriously Luke, you, Michael and Ashton singing together would be awesome!'' Rose said as she was unlocking her front door. ''I don't know about it Rose. I suck at singing.''

She looked at him in shock. Like someone just killed her mother. Or even worse, ate the last slice of pizza. Ignoring what Luke just had said she gave him a hug and told him they would text. She waved him off and then went inside. 

''Connor I'm back.''

''Alright!'' he yelled back. Not bothering to check if she was ok. She sat on the couch and cuddled the stuffed animal she got from the tall blonde.

''Fuck Ash.'' She said to herself and quickly got her car keys.

''Connor I'm leaving again!''

''Whatever.''

She rolled her eyes and left. Making her way to Ashton's house she stopped at KFC to get some food for them. Seeming Ashton used to work there maybe it will cheer him up a bit.

After she got her order she continued her way over to Ashton's place. When she arrived Ashton's dog was the first one to greet her.

''Hey Ketchup how are you?'' she said and petted him. Yes Ashton named his dog Ketchup. Nobody asked why but only because they all loved 'Ketchup Irwin'.

Ketchup started to bark and that was Ashton came outside. ''Ketchup shush man- Oh hey Rose.''

''Hi Ash. Can I come in?''

He nodded and stepped aside. She went in with Ketchup following right behind her. They sat in the lounge.

''I brought chicken from KFC. You know.. Because you used to work there.''

He smiled and she began to feel a bit better.

''Thanks bunny. So..''

''I know we need to talk. But why can't you just let me and Luke be?''
