Tension - L.H. [AU/ON HOLD]

11 - ''I would like to know too."

''Yeah?'' they both said in sync.

''Are you fucking kidding me right now!?'' Luke yelled as he grabbed his hair. The two drunks looked at him in confusion. He made his way over to them and pulled Calum off the bed.

''Oh hi Cal, how long have you been here.''

Luke shook his head and turned his attention back to Calum.

''What did you do with her!?''

''Nothing I swear! Luke I would never.'' Calum said in the most serious tone he could let out at the moment.

''What about Michael huh!? Hood I swear to-''

''Luke nothing happened! As soon as-'' Rose yelled as she stumbled up.

''Stay the fuck out of this!!'' he yelled in her face which made her stumble backwards. She never had seen Luke this angry. It scared her. It scared her a lot. Luke was yelling at Calum and threw him out of the room. Closing the door muttering profanities and making his way over to Rose.

He raised his hands. Everything was going so fast in her mind that she shield her face and let out a small whimper. After a few seconds she put her hands down and looked at Luke. He had tears in his eyes and a shocked expression on his face.

''Y-You thought I was g-going to h-hit you?'' he stuttered as Rose looked at the ground.

He embraced her and she flinched slightly.

''I would never do that. Please Rose don't be afraid of me. I would never hurt you.'' His voice cracked. Tears beginning to run down his cheeks.

The next morning when Rose woke up she was laying in Luke's arms. When she tried to sit up straight her head felt like it was going to explode.

''Shit.'' She mumbled which caused for Luke to open his eyes a little. She covered her face with her hands and groaned.

''Are you ok?'' Luke asked in his raspy morning voice. He rubbed his eyes and sat behind her. Wrapping his arms around her and pulling her on his lap. She shook her head and pressed herself against his chest. Feeling it go up and down.

''Luke what happened last night?''

He pushed her off his lap right when she asked that. Feeling irritated as the images of her and Calum shot through his mind again.

''You don't remember?''

She shook her head and he signed deeply. Luke had all kinds of thoughts running through his mind. Thinking about how he could tell her best. Or even tell her at all.

''Nothing. You just had a little too much to drink.''

''Really?'' she asked in disbelief. He didn't answer her question and just took out his phone. Luke was obviously hiding something. He was acting a bit distant. Maybe he just wanted some space.

''I-'' she began but stopped. Took in a deep breath and left the room without saying anything to Luke. But little did she know that when the door closed Luke broke down crying.

When she got to the front yard she remembered that she had came her with Michael. So going home right now wasn't exactly a option. She leaned against the fence and pulled her knees up to her chest. Breathing heavily trying to hold back the tears.

Not too long after the person she needed and his boyfriend came stumbling out of the house.

''Oh there she is.'' Michael said softer than normal. Probably because his head was killing him.

''You go in the car babe, I'll go get her.'' Calum said gave him a quick kiss and made his way over to Rose.

He went to sit down next to her scratching his arm and avoiding eye contact. He was hesitating to say anything. ''So.. I-.. Do you remember what happened?''

She looked up at him with tears in her eyes. ''What are you talking about?''

He didn't say anything and kept staring right in front of him.

''Calum?'' she said and got up. She went to stand in front of him and crossed her arms. He then got up too, laying his hands on her shoulders.

''I'm so sorry I kissed you.''

Her eyes got wider and she shook off his hands.

''Wait, you kissed her?''

They turned around and there were Ashton and Luke. ''Why Calum. You said nothing happened!'' Luke yelled. His eyes were red and puffy from crying earlier and his voice was shaky. He wanted to walk over but Ashton stopped him. ''What is going on here!?'' he yelled in confusion.

''I would like to know too.''

Calum looked behind him and saw Michael. He had tears in his eyes and crossed his arms.

''Michael. I-''

''I have to go..'' he said and left. Calum went after him. Leaving Luke, Ashton and Rose behind.

''Luke..'' Rose said softly. Taking one step forward. But Luke did one step back when she did and it hurt her badly. She gasped when he did. Ashton looked at her as if saying 'I told you this was a bad idea.'

Luke on the other hand wasn't looking at her. He was just playing with his fingers. Not knowing what to do or say.

Ashton then went over to Rose. Wrapping his arm around her shoulder as they were still family. He needed to be there for her.

''Come on let's go.'' He said and they started walking towards his car. ''Ash wait.'' She whispered and ran back to Luke who was still standing on his porch.

She grabbed his hand so he would look at her. All she saw in his eyes was pain. Pain she didn't even know that she had caused. Then she realized that must have been why Luke was being like that when she asked him what had happened.

The saddest part was that she didn't even remember it fully. She hurt Luke without knowing or realizing.

''I love you Luke. Only you.'' She said softly. But he didn't say anything back. He just let go of her hand and started to walk back inside.

''Luke wait! Please! I love you Luke!''

She was about to go after him but got stopped by Ashton. ''This is why I didn't want you two to meet..'' he spoke to himself. But she heard anyway. She broke down in his arms. Feeling like her world was falling apart.

Her best friend probably hates her and her boyfriend might not be her boyfriend anymore. Luke and Calum's friendship might be over because of her. She broke up the four guys that were friends even before she was born.

To be honest. Her world was falling apart.
